Hotel rooms are very clean and Up to date
All requirements meet
Would recommend self catering
And eat out or in
Pool not very big enough maybe for 50 ppl
Loungers.
The hotel itself is clean and tidy and the service from the staff is very good. The rooms are OK and although dated they have what you need. A double bed room, single bed by entrance door, small kitchenette and a sofa and small TV. The sofa bed was not suitable for sleeping on. The TV only has BBC news and Disney in Spanish.
The pool was clean and nothing broken so you can have a swim. The main pool is not too deep and the kids pool is ideal for toddlers with play slides and water falls. The pool area does not get any sun until mid day which is annoying and most people come and claim beds with this towels which is frustrating and the hotel needs to put in place a rule to stop this.
The food terrace wasn't good and we avoided it mostly. The menu was basic is an understatement and the terrace area was very dated. But it was plenty busy. Instead we used this as a base and went out to explore the area.
The location is the best part as you are close enough to nice beaches but away from the bust crowds. There is also a mini market nearby and bus stops outside
Very good overall very central. Love the beaches. Food good transport also good .highly recommended
Lovely clean tidy place. Eddie is the heart of the sun club apartments with his entertainment schedules and hosting. There are things to do for all ages. A great family holiday place.
The hotels location is slightly out of the way on top of a hill. Those that struggle with hills may find this slightly off putting. Our room was clean and spacious and more than enough for four guests. Very well kept bar area and clean pool. Staff are friendly polite and helpful. Would recommend even one top of the hill.
Great location, great service and awesome rooms. We loved staying at this hotel and will probably repeat!
Great location. Good bus access to the area.
Room wasn't ready on arrival, (we were already delayed arriving due to the incoming flight) and we didn't get in till after 7pm which wasted our first day!. Staff were rude and completely disinterested about this.
Requested a quiet room, ended up with the one closest to the H10 next door with very noisy "entertainment" till midnight every night.
The hotel don't close off the kids pool at nights so had children playing in the water / unsupervised in the park till 1am some nights.
Also their / TUI's idea of a family room with a "kids den" is actually a empty computer stand in the room with 2 bunk beds.
Plus the 10am "run" for sunloungers, (despite the signs saying not to do that) which then stay empty till the afternoon sun lights up the side of the hotel.
Cooking facilities very basic (suspect this is deliberate to make you buy the meals in the hotel instead)
We did eventually get a free late checkout but only due to the intervention of the TUI on site rep who spoke directly to the hotel management as the staff we spoke to seemed unwilling or unable to help.
Staff are great, we first booked a 1 bedroom appartment (by Thompson who said it will be fine)but this was a joke with two teens. They moved us to a two bed for an extra 200 euros. This room was fine except the cooking facilities are the same in all rooms, no cooker and only two ring hob. Because of this it cost me a fortune to eat out at every meal. One last thing, couldn't get around the pool in two weeks due to the towl crew.
Rooms nice and spacious, even with 3 kids. Kids pools is amazing with loads of space. WiFi is not free, but not TOO expensive €25 per week. Staff very friendly and helpful, apart from 1 or 2. Food is OK quality but not very big menu. Small supermarket on site is convenient. H10 hotel next door is very noisy at night but not too bad. Lovely walk along the coast into main Salou, approximately 25 minutes, more with kids! Overall value for money but you might expect more
