    A truly memorable evening.

The location is amazing, a James Bond lair with cocktails! My partner and I had different taster menus, both were executed wellwe also had accompanying wine pairing (I loved the sommelier and spent half the evening trying to convince my partner he should move in with usbut that's a different story!) which was so fun.

There was not a single dish that I wasn't impressed by, so why aren't I giving 5 stars? I don't know, maybe I'm a little over the relentless nature of taster menus; having your conversation broken every 2 minutes to be told minut detail of the next dish that you immediately can't recall.

This might be one of those "it's not you it's me" moments. I knew what I was getting, it delivered on that, I was unfulfilledwho's at fault?!

If you want a dining experience, an evening where the food is the centre piece, where you will (and will be expected to) sit in awethen this restaurant is for you.

For memaybe I need to look for the simpler things in life!

One word: perfection. It’s hard to describe just how good the food was and each dish was better than the last. Service was immaculate and location is second to none. I don’t think I could say anything that hasn’t been said countless times before. Experience of a lifetime.

Beautiful views from the modern restaurant/hotel with comfortable interior and exterior seating. The staff were all friendly and informative. The dress was casual and the service impeccable. The tasting menu was stellar with local foods elevated in creative dishes. Our meal was several hours long, a lovely and super relaxed pace.

My partner and I went here as part of her birthday present. We were not let down, the food was delightful and well made, the staff were friendly, courteous and couldn't do enough for you and the restaurant is beautifully situated.

All-around excellent! Food and wine are all perfect. But above all, the service is what really makes this place stand out. The service is exceptional, and this is where Akelarre achieves the outstanding. Yes, it's expensive, but as many others state, it's an experience. There's always their second restaurant, Oteiza (downstairs), for a more 'economical' return visit.

If you expect the crazy prizes of the foods in the restaurant, than it is perfect. The service is excellent, the food is perfect, and the place is perfect. The view is beautiful, it is one of the nicest 3 Michelin Starred restaurants that I have been in.

Best meal of my life. Thoughtful food. The food is smart but it doesn't flaunt. Solid cooking. Seriously cannot miss.

We got to choose between three different set menus, all being very interesting on paper. I definitely enjoyed myself, but I thought two out of eight dishes were plain bad, which is not to be expected from a 3 star Michelin restaurant. However most dishes were still very tasty, and the appetizers were on a world class level. The wine pairing was innovative and exciting. All in a give it 3/5 stars, taking away one for the two dishes I could not finish, and one for not really blowing my mind in the way a 3 stared restaurant should.

    Best restaurant in San Sebastián~!
Good services and stunning ocean view.
Every dishes were so tasty with beautiful details. Expensive, but worth it.
You have to taste mint ice cream with lemon
foam and mojito as a dessert. I would miss it
    for a long time.

Food was not great & Menu was limited. Portion size was good but the flavour was just not there. For example my main was a bowl of veal & nothing else - no vegetables or potatoes. So extremely bland and repeative. Service was average, same as being in a normal restaurant, where as in other Michelin Star restaurants we have been to service was exceptional. Waiters did not engage with customers. We were there for a special occasion yet no reference was made to that on the day. However wine list was great. For the price you pay it was not worth it for me. There are far better Michelin Star restaurants in San Sebastian with better food & experience.

Incredible service, beautiful venue and the best quality ingredients anywhere. It is a different, comparatively simpler preparation than Arzak, but obviously it is world class (as are the prices).

Really fabulous meal and evening. We did the wine pairing and it was absolutely worth it, I loved hearing the sommelier's recommendation and explanation of each pairing. The food of course was fabulous, and every dish challenged us to open our mind to how food usually looks or is presented. Service was kind, sincere, and on-point, and chef wonderful (we got to meet him). The stunning sunset and view was the icing on the cake.
