    Extremely poor experience.
Service was awful (for a 3 star) over 30 ' with no food on the table. Food was very average with the exception of 2 dishes ( Gamba royal and pigeon). We ordered classic, extraordinary Spanish wines: Vega Sicilia Valbuena 2001 (which was way too acid and not up to standard) and V Tondonia 2004 which was good. Will certainly not go back, specially as this was a very much sought after visit which became a big disappointment.

This chef has multiple Michelin stars to his credit, this particular restaurant having three. Our anticipation was high. The incredible service started immediately. It was raining. A man rushed down the stairs with umbrellas to greet us at our taxi and made sure we got in safely. The amazing service never let up. Menus, wine, suggestions, answers, wonderful breads and many delicious courses of the tasting menu appeared as if we had a small magic wand. Our headwaiter was checking on us at every turn, but never intrusively. Despite their precision, the staff had an easy lighthearted manner that I am sure belied intensive training. Oh yes the food, unbelievably creative and delicious, unusual tastes that drew you in to Berasategui’s imagination.
His tasting menu on this evening emphasized fish, but there were multiple pairings with strong and delicious flavors, and multiple demonstrations of molecular gastronomy. Standouts (essentially true of all) were smoked eel with fois gras and green apple, caviar gel with asparagus, tarama (cured roe of cod) with beetroot and horseradish, gambas with pork and hake with pork (high end variations on traditional Portuguese fare). The most amazing presentation was a vegetable salad with seafood. Each colorful item was delicately displayed spread over a large plate. It was like Hieronymous Bosch’s painting, The Garden of Delights. The sommelier picked great wines. We met Bersategui, which was a treat. He presents himself with great humility. It was a spectacular meal, probably the best in my lifetime.

One of the most extraordinary experiences I've ever had let alone dining experiences. The level of craft in the food and service here is astonishing. We were fortunate enough to meet the great man and see the kitchen. Seeing the vast number of people behind the scenes only heightened the occasion. Truly magnificent.

Wow! Next level everything! Without a doubt the most amazing meal I have every had. Exceptional service, food, quality, flavour, wine. They truely value and respect every single customer. My wife stated when we booked that we were coming for a special dinner whilst on our honeymoon. At the end of the evening they presented us with a chefs coat signed by Martin with a personal message. Amazing book well in advance!! Sometimes they are booked 2 months in advance

This is not just a restaurant. It offers an incredible gastronomic experience. The dishes are creative and beautifully plated, real art pieces. The flavors and textures are in perfect balance. We had wine pairing and the selection was just right. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about what they are dining. And Martín himself comes to greet his guests, which is the cherry on top. Amazing!

One of the best meals we've ever had bar none. Definitely deserving if it's Michelin stars. The staff is incredibly friendly. The wine pairing was at your own pace, so not too much and not to little.. Excellent.

None of why I had there was imperfect. None. The chef went out and humbly greeted all. I mean all. The place is located on a beautiful hill giving the feel of a great basque location. The staff are so trained and attentive to every details. It is obvious that their mission is to compliment what is produced in the kitchen. Just go for the tasting menu and wait to be surprised. Being to several 3 Michelin star restaurants, I can't say that this the best but had several dishes thy qualified to be. A better work can be done on deserts though. Great experience that left me happy

A perfect fine dining experience. Although the food is incredible and arranged to the last detail, the atmosphere is still relaxed. This is also due to the incredible staff who are friendly and knowledgable.
