This museum is free for EU citizens!!! You should never pass up the opportunity of free museum trips, and this one does not disappoint. There's a really interesting history of Spanish art, from probably mid-18th century with some really lovely paintings on the second floor. The top floor houses a whole bunch of archaeological stuff, such as pottery, weaponry and mosaics, which is not really my cup of tea, but worth a visit if its yours.

I had to wait over 10 years whilst the museum was being renovated but it was worth it. One of the best museums I have visited in Spain. Good clear displays, information in Spanish and English. Free to EU citizens.

Great museum. A large collection of archeological exhibits dating back to Neanderthal man who lived in the area right through all of the races that have lived in tbis area. I spent hours here, they slso have an excellent art gallery.

Málaga deserved a museum like this. Not overwhelming but huge info in all aspects of historic sciences for the connoisseur. Free for all

Beautiful collection of traditional paintings and archaeological discoveries from different periods of time, from the bronze age to the Roman Times. I highly recommend visiting with enough time to enjoy the experience completely.

Beautiful modern interior in the old custom house, with well laid out exhibits on archeology (top floor) and local art. Good explanations in Spanish and English.

Beautifully built and with a lot of information. Enough for two visits! It's free for citizens of the EU and only €1,5 for others. On the first floor you find everything about art and the second is about archeological findings from and around Malaga. Impressive and absolutely worth going there.
