  So, the place is beautiful, though they are money grubbing people and will charge you 5 euros for every entrance you pass. If you buy for the wallk they "include" the cathedral for an additional 5 euros. In short it's not a lot of money, though the fact that they hide charges or the staff doesn't know the proper charges is a bit insulting to the client. Sandra Martin Garcia was the one who misinformed us (unintentionally I am sure)

  Entry to the wall includes the audio guide so you can learn about the history of Ávila through different perspectives and views along the wall. It is a long walk but very well worth it and worth going into every little nook and cranny to see the city from all sides!

  Avila and it's walls are among the best sites to visit in Spain. A visit 10 years ago left an impression upon me. Making a repeat visit was a easy choice. I wasn't disappointed Highly recommend.

  Super place for anyone interested in history, the place reeks of it. Brilliantly preserved and restored walls and cathedral. Well restored other buildings.

  Great landscapes can be seen from top of it. A highly recommend visit if you go to Ávila.
  During the summer, it's recommended to visit it during the afternoon.

  Impressive and very well (part) restored old city wall. Ávila is surrounded by this 2,5 km (1,5mi) long city wall. Construction started in 1090 by commission of Alfons VI of León as protection. Pattern is rectangular and are 3 meters thick and an average height of 12 meters. Nine gates give access to the old city. The apsis of the cathedral is part of the wall of which about 50% is accessible for visitors.

  We walked most of the wall! Well preserved, beautiful sights from on top. Best experienced at dusk I think as the setting sun gives the best visual warmth

  Beautiful historic venue in Central Spain, show how medieval times cities protected from enemies.
