It's a beautiful monastery, unfortunately you can't take photos inside the building

We just asked the guide if she spoke any English and after each section in Spanish she took us aside and in good English filled us in. We still talk about this amazing experience. Whether all guides would do that or we just struck lucky, it was wonderful . All those ancient clothes in almost original condition . Chilling especially with the stories of subterfuge and murder behind them. Recommend.

It is a must see in Burgos. A place of burial of numerous kings and the royal family members. Visiting is only with a guide and the tour takes about an hour.
If you require a guide in English, it might be a good idea to contact them first and book.response / report this review -

No English explain.I feel so sad . No photos. Group visit at certain time. No place to sit when waiting for the group time.

This is a very impressive place but unless you speak Spanish you will learn little or nothing of its history. The guided tour is in Spanish only and there are no handouts in other languages for none Spanish speakers.
