Dined last night with hubby, fantastic, and if that was granny at the door! She was amazing. The staff were so charming and helpful, would recommend to all. My daughter and son in law are visiting soon and it will their first port of call for the finest steak. We only ever tasted a similar steak in and Argentinian restaurant in Holland. Anyone who disagrees should just dine at the local chippy ! Good luck Asif in your ne venture 👍

Meat - steaks and sausages and chorizos, all grilled and served with jacket potatoes.
Don't go expecting a dainty quiche salad or a nice smoked salmon starter - you won't get it. This restaurant is all about meat in enormous quantities.
It's a deep-pink-painted house in the blue-potted Calle Caridad, parallel to the seafront but in the Old Town. A wooden statue of the Granny in the name - la Abuela - greets you as you come in.
They cook the food to order from scratch, none of the "half-cooked in microwave then slapped on a grill".
You can walk round the back of the dining room and see your meal in progress on an enormous open fire grill. The smell is wonderful!
The staff were coping well with a myriad of different languages, helping out the poor Russian speakers who had only a few words of German, and chatting in a friendly manner with a tableful of Golfers from Surrey, as well as all the demands of the Spaniards.
We didn't have a first course. We couldn't manage to finish the main course. We didn't even dream of a pudding, we just staggered out into the street . . .
After a not-unreasonable bill.
And the restaurant is nicely sited to walk off some of that food by strolling in the pretty flower-laden streets of Estepona.
