Completely wonderful surroundings and location of you value peace, quiet and beautiful natural environment. Plus, the breakfast is fantastic, with the best toast I have ever had in my entire life. (It's done in a pan.) Plus great home made jams. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
Amazing value and a memorable, historical place to stay. It even has its own very old church!

El entorno y las vistas desde la ventana son un regalo para la vista. Las habitaciones muy sencillas aunque algo viejas. El desayuno espectacular.

My wife from Cuba, her cousin from Spain and I, an American, stayed at La Lastra in mid-May, 2011. The best way I can summarize our experience is that if felt like we were home. Gonzalo and Julia were the most gracious hosts one could ask for. They made us feel like we were a part of their family. As to the accomodations, my single word description would be, elegant. The rooms were decorated with personal taste that can only be atributed to pride of ownership that cannot be found in a chain of hotels. The accomodations were spotless. While the hotel gives one the feeling of going back in time in such a beautiful, historic structure, the facilities were up to the minute modern. Finally, there are no words to describe the gorgeous surrounding mountain and village scenery. It looks like something out of a storybook. The bottom line is that we would not even consider another hotel in mountains of Asturias. I could happily live there! ____________

Mi esposa, su prima y yo nos quedamos en La Lastra a mediados de Mayo de 2011. La mejor manera que podemos resumir nuestra experiencia es que nos sentiamos como si estuviéramos en casa. Gonzalo y Julia fueron los anfitriones más benevolente, se puede pedir. Nos hicieron sentir como si fuéramos parte de su familia. En cuanto alojamiento, la descripción de mi sola palabra sería, elegante. Las habitaciones fueron decoradas con un gusto personal que sólo puede atribuirse al orgullo de la propiedad que no se puede encontrar en una cadena de hoteles. Las habitaciones estaban impecables. Mientras que el hotel da a uno la sensación de una estructura histórica, las instalaciones eran hasta el minuto moderna. Por último, no hay palabras para describir la belleza natural de este lugar dentro de las montañas magníficas, entorno y el paisaje del pueblo. Parece algo sacado de un libro de cuentos.

La conclusión es que ni siquiera consideraría otro hotel en las montañas de Asturias.Yo podría vivir feliz allí el resto de mi vida. Gracias Gonzalo y Julia nunca los olvidaremos.
