Good location just next to supermarkets
Good hotel a little dated but clean tidy plus helpful Staff
Quite far out of town, has a nice pool but you need to drive into town or to get to other attractions. Staff were helpful and the prices reasonable reflecting the distance from the centre. A bus stop over the road from the hotel but with 3 small kids we didn't try it.
Pleasant staff, clean large room, good price. It's about 6000 steps to the old town according to my step counter and will take you about 1/2 an hour walking. The pool was not open during our visit which was a pity because it looked very inviting. The breakfast was good and even included scrambled eggs and bacon as a an alternative to the usual contintal style. We did not use the bar or the restaurant.
Stayed here for a night during my tour in Salamanca. Room is small. Hair dryer not working. Other wise it was still alright till I had my breakfast in the hotel the next morning. I was queuing up for my French bread, an European lady just jumped in my line and took my turn to cut the bread. I confronted her and she just looked at me like as if I'm transparent. I was pissed and wanted to leave with just my 3 croissants (took for my 2 sisters) which I put on a plate I left on the table beside where I stood, and guessed what? Another European lady took my croissants!!! I told her "excuse me, you just took 2 of my croissants." Like her friend, she just looked at me without a single "sorry". Worst part, the waitress just shouted at me "just wait for the bread!" Seriously? Hotel Horus Salamanca, this will be the 1st and last time I'll stay here. Just because I'm Asian, I deserve at least some respects from your staff. Don't treat us Asians as if we are inferior to the whites.
Checking was easy and fast. The restaurant at the ground floor is small but nicely decorated. The room size is average. Hotel situated near a supermarket. The bus drop off is right in front of the hotel for groups.
Perfect hotel - clean, comfortable, cheap, big rooms, good beds.
Cheap clean and good service
If you don't want to stay in the city centre than this is the perfect location. The hotel is nice, staff is friendly and rooms are also modern and comfortable. Nothing special but you can rest well. The hotel has pool and good breakfast. Recommend.
In our road trip through Spain (as a Spanish person), this has been so far the worst hotel. Walls of 'paper' allow every guest to hear his neighbour snore. Furniture and installation (seemingly) from the 70's. Friendly hotel staff, however, did not compensate the state of the establishment.
The for stars may have been worth-it a decade ago Today I wouldn't guess it has 3 I'd even go with 2.
There is also the nagging fact that cleaning was only done superficially and we found some disgusting unidentifiable residue in various places, contributing to this evaluation.
Also it is quite far away from Salamanca centre.
Nonetheless, the price was quite acceptable.
