Quite a nice place. Food is fine despite other reviews. Very clean hotel. Pool is a bit small but ok. Management need to allow guests to use framed sun loungers rather than charge for them. They look very comfortable but i never saw them being used. What a waste!!! Apart from that it's been fine. up date after 3 days..entertainment is embarrassing.. toytown bingo, poor acts, etc..very poor quality for people staying here with children. Bar staff..not interested in being polite, giving double measures to some but not to others. Not mei hasten to addbut obvious to those who are not drunk. Enjoyed our stay for what we paid but things need to be monitored by management to keep people happy. I dont think we'll be back. Will this review get a management reponse???? I doubt it!!!!! Regards. Victor Meldrew
Hotel clean and tidy
Rooms had hardly storage space Maid service good
Staff at reception friendly as for bar staff definitely not there was only one young boy would smile when serving the rest barely looked at you and threw snacks at you was told no ice cream but then saw some one with it then went and ask another I got it from him she just count be bothered to serve anyone saw her taking drink from pump then drunk it under counter i wonder why she was ducking down staff had no customers skill for sure they pretended to not know what you was asking for
Restaurant a joke food was barely Luke warm everyone complained will certainly never return here
Great hotel. Newly refurbished and spotless clean. Food really good in restaurant with something for everyone. Staff very helpful. Rooms are lovely with two queen sized beds. Flat screen tv in the wall. Bathroom is a good size too. Towels are changed daily if you wish. Lovely pool area. Plenty of beds. Again very clean.
Very good hotel. Recently refurbished. Full breakfast spread to choose from every morning. Good size pool and entertainment for kids and family's every day and night. Five minutes walk to the beach. Fifteen minutes walk to the main strip.
Really nice hotel the food was great and really friendly and helpful staff but could have a variation in food at meal times a lot of it was the same choice at every meal! shame most of the people were smoking like trains next to the only pool where the kids play
Great holiday away with familyhotel was great staff friendly also the entertainment staff were fantastic with there games during the day and kids at night. Also our cook rep Ewan was very helpful from we arrived till we left.
June/ July 2016- Staff fantastic, always smiling, most speak excellant english. Rooms basic but perfectly adequate for getting changed & sleeping in, cleaned, tidied & fresh towels every morning. Food quite nice with plenty of choice. Perfect location, short walk to beaches, pubs bars & restaurants. Would recommend, although a little noisey during night due to bins being emptied outside, general street noise & very thin walls. Animation team also great, loads of energy😀
The fact it was very near to the beach and centre of salou give the hotel an 5 star but that's all. We stayed August 23 to 30th 2015. We payed all inclusive as we had two teenage. The food at all 3 settings was petty much the same every day as well. Food for children / teenagers was poor. We ended up feeding the girls out. As well for drinks you could only have pure Juice, water, tea for breakfast. No squash for kids and the same through out the day no squash just fizzy. Also as we was all inclusive u had to ask for drinks in the main food Hall, which took a long time to get some one over, then we found that as we was inclusive they didn't really want to know us. I have also never know an inclusive package limited what snacks u was allowed to have ie packet of crisps and other things that wanted u to and some euros towards it. The idea of all in is to get the service and meals provide other wise why bother?
The night entertainment was poor really poor, if we came home early we would watch the entertainment From the hotel across from us wish was more fun!
The pool is too small for the amount of people staying. Also one day we had no hot water with no warning or apologies.
We had to move the bed forward as the air con unit dripped on the bed at night.
We also emailed the hotel months before we stayed request to either have a room with 3 double beds or double bed and two singles or even we would pay for a extra room. Due to having two teenage and one having behaviour and other needs. This didn't happen when I mentioned this the night we booked it the reply was the hotel is full and know nothing. This was not excectable nor practical. Instead we had to buy a blow up mattress and an sleeping bag also requested more blankets, which enabled the child to sleep on the floor for the whole holiday. If we wanted to camp we would of done so!
We would not recommend this hotel but Salou is a beautiful place and great for families.
I see from previous reviews all u get back is an few words and apologies. Which again not excectable from such a big chain of hotel provider.
If on the other foot would they enjoy the experience everyone has had?
I am also in two minds to also contact Thomas Cook with the feedback from the experience of the hotel. It's a shame we paid out all that money to stay in such a poor hotel.
