Great hotel for families. Good quality all you can eat buffet. Unheated pool. Outside and inside stages for evening entertainment. Right next to the beach. Recommended.

A decent three Star hotel but with some small improvements it could go beyond decent. If you want a quiet adults only holiday then this place isn't for you but if you want a holiday on a beach, it's great. The all you can eat buffet has something for everyone, except those who complain about everything! Again, of you are looking for quiet, fine dining this isn't the place for you. The negative reviews that I've read seem to be from people with high expectations rather than expectations of a three Star hotel.

My Husband and i stayed within the Hotel Augustus complex, we wanted to have the ability to cater for ourselves, and were told by the hotel that we would have to have one of their apartments for that, which we readily agreed too, in the hope we could make toast, a cup of tea or coffee, and have a fridge etc, we did book half board so also had the ability to have some meals in the hotel restaurant. When we arrived at the reception desk of Hotel Augustus, it was impressive, modern, bright, clean, stunning actually. Bars, Pool, reception, restaurants all looked fabulous. As we booked ourselves in we were told we had an apartment and it is next door a short walk away. So feeling a little disappointed at that, we picked up our luggage and took ourselves to the apartment block. We arrived to them, seeing a dismal unimpressive building, and took the elvator to our floor, as we entered the apartment, it was a shock, a shock that made me cry, i paid 2500 UK Pounds for this holiday for two apartments, one for my husband and i and one for my daughter and her partner. The rooms were dark, outdated, dismal, antiquated, and not entirely clean, nothing matched or flowed with a bright and modern theme, To give you a clue (and this is not personal, just trying to paint a picture) it resembled a financially strapped ,single elderly persons, council flat. It was unwelcoming, there was No coffee/tea welcome pack, the bedding was outdated, the beds uncomfortable, the overall look was shabby and unkempt,. We went to the kitchenette, where their was a microwave, a hob, a fridge, and cupboards, there was NO crockery, No Toaster, NO Mugs, cups or Kettle!! - we inquired about this, to which a kitchen staff brought some items to us, tiny cups for espresso and a small saucepan. We asked for Kettle and were informed NO they do not provide this any longer, The advert told us this would be fully equipped and fully functional kitchen, it was far from it!! The walls were paper thin, we heard every conversation from next door, and every cupboard and drawer open and close, every chair scrape along the floor. This was like a nitemare, we paid for a luxury holiday for 1 week,. The maids were supposed to clean between 2-3pm each day, but were working the corridors early morning, sigh.we asked for no cleaning on a couple of days so we could take our time on OUR holiday about rising and being ready for the day. If we wanted breakfast or lunch or evening meal, we had to take ourselves out to the main street, and make our way to the very nice hotel we were booked under. Or if we had questions or inquiries, we had to go to the hotel to deal with that. There was no reception or facilities to the apartment block. The beach was very close by, thank god! - And Mambos taverna on the beach was a godsend. Great food and hospitality. The Pool at the Hotel was children orientated, and was impossible to get seating, as usual various countries place their towels on the seats so no one gets a look in. Pool is not heated. The speaker system at the pool area is horrible, and they are all through the day and evening blasting music and games through it, even asking people to get out of the pool for dance or games to take place for the children, No matter we are sweltering and need to be submerged!! The Hotel food was excellent, the bath/shower water hot and plenty of it. The bedding hmmm not impressed. The staff and maids, all very nice and polite. I Have taken pictures of peeling ceiling in bathroom, of rust shelves in bathroom, of dirty corners of bath and shower, and ugly ancient furniture, and yellowed walls and kitchenette. I Would NEVER recommend this accommodation. I Would NEVER go back.The attached photos actaully make it look 50% better than it actually is!! and thats because my camera is nice and modern and bright, the colour of the apartment is dull and yellowing, and sofa much darker than you see, furniture is all scratched and should be at the local skip/dump.

Se trata de un hotel muy completo, el servicio es muy atento y la comida también está muy buena, merece la pena coger pensión completa

Great hotel, clean rooms, good service, all you can eat, and nice staff? They even prepared us a lunch as we were departing for our bus.
