Just got home and feel able to write this review if a disappointing 6 nights.
Having stayed at the hotel on 4 previous occasions we were looking forward to the visit.however almost immediately it went wrong. On the first night at 3.30am were awoke by noise from rowdy residents staying on our floor. They were very drunk, using foul language and trying doors. After eventually things quietening down at 5.30am we were then awoken again at 8.30am by same residents who were now on their balcony's once again being very loud and swearing. They then even had the check to ask for someone to throw them a lighter across several balconies which landed on ours and we watched whilst they used golf clubs to access the lighter whilst finding it very funny.
On complaining at reception we were told that we should of come down to reception at 3.30am to tell them if we were unhappy. I explained that this was a group that had been spread out on our floor and surely they should of been aware of the disturbance as they had to go through reception to their rooms.
Eventually after some discussion they agreed to move us to another room.
However we were made to feel like it was our fault and were told abruptly to pack our clothes etc and when a room became available they would let us know.
We were then left hanging around for 2 hours before we could move to a different room.
At last we thought we can try again. However WRONG AGAIN. We had been out for the evening and came back around 10pm due to poor weather.
Whilst sat on balcony we heard a loud bang we investigated and found that a ceiling panel had come down and crashed on to the bathroom floor.
We.rang reception bit could not make ourselves understood so asked them to come to our room. They sent a housekeeper who we showed what happened and she was quite rude and said we should of kept the bathroom door closed if we wants the balcony door open.
She then left and and hour later we were called to say that there was nothing that could be done and to just live the panel and they would send someone tomorrow.
An absolute joke. No apology no rectification at all.
    NEVER stay again.

Fabulous hotel. Top notch for a 4 star. Generally clean, well priced, music system built in to the bathroom, fridge mini bar, safe in rooms. Views over the mar menor from level 3 up on the east side. Free papers in the bar, happy hour also from 6pm. TV channel choice limited for English only news. Out of season it's fairly quiet, top floor pool is empty, but the sun deck is still useable and the hot tub is on.
Gym and stream room can also be used. Easy access to all the bars and beach less than 5 mins walk. 525 is Definitely worth a visit.

What a hotel this is. The roof top solarium/pool area with its magnificent views of the Mar Menor are to die for. Reasonable prices throughout. Can't recommend it enough.
