Nice hotel, spacious rooms. Very good breakfast for a Holiday Inn Express, with lots of variety.
The room is great. The beds are very comfortable and they give you both a hard and a soft pillow. My only complaint regarding the room is that the shower it’s not very well thought out. There’s a non-movable glass panel to keep the water in, then a small area where you’re supposed to dry yourself, but it gets wet so your feet aren’t really dry when you get out and you wet the rest of the bathroom.
A big thumbs up for this hotel if you’re traveling with your family is the fact that contiguous rooms are connected through a pair of doors that can be locked from inside the room itself.
The breakfast is buffet-style and included with the room, which is great. However, there’s not a lot of variety and some of the usuals (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.) are missing. Another detail is the lack of hot milk (you’re supposed to heat it up in the microwave). On the other hand, there are some interesting items rarely seen at a breakfast buffet, like Spanish omelette, panini and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich (I recommend you heat them up in the microwave, since they’re served cold). It’s not the best buffet I’ve seen, but it gets the job done.
Something interesting I’d never seen before in a hotel are the vending machines right next to the reception hall. They have some beverages and prepared meals, which is interesting if you wanna eat quick and easy.
There’s WiFi available all throughout the hotel, accessed via a key they give you with the room key (which is a card by the way). It works flawlessly, but you can definitely notice when there’s more people connected, since it gets quite a bit slower.
The room is nice but since I was going for work meetings, not having an ironing board and a good iron was an issue.
We arrived at hotel only for reasons of hiring a car rental..Gold Car. Good shuttle service from airport. Check in process was lengthy but resulted in receipt of an excellent vehicle. Gold Car worked great for us.
Great location to the Bilbao airport. About a 15 minute drive to the city centre. Clean rooms and good customer service. Breakfast was less than ideal, but overall good stay
Excelente relación calidad precio con todas las comodidades para un viaje corto, tanto de paseo como de negocios. La habitación es impecable. La ubicación, alejada del centro, obliga a ir en coche, sino no lo recomiendo
Good hotel. Ambience is nice. Very far from the city center but near to airport. If you don't want to go to city center, nothing nearby to pass the time. For going to city center, they have regular trips to the airport and take bus to city center from airport. Overall, nice experience.
It's OK. Just like all the other Holiday Inn Express everywhere. The restaurant beside the hotel it's meh. This is a good place to go sleep before a morning flight.
Very close to the airport (5 min drive with the Shuttle) - Has a restaurant open until 11 pm. Decent breakfast , holiday inn's standard rooms - very good for one night stay
Hotel is best option to sleep before morning flight. 10 min free hotel transfer bus takes you straight to airport. Bad thing is that at breakfast time, staff is ordered to switch off one coffee machine, which is better one (has sign that it is out of order and after breakfast it magically in order again). So one bad coffee machine only works and there is BAD coffee and waiting line, because other is out of order at this peak time. So my conclusion is that this hotel is as one BAD COFFEE!!! but everything else is excellent - clean, comfort, better than 4* hotel in central town.
