Amazing service, food and environment. High class place if you want to impress someone. I enjoyed the croquetas of chipirón, the cochinillo and pear cake for dessert. All so good.

Pros: nice place, beaultiful, close to the centre

Cons: NOISE. If you're interested in a calm and restful trip, this is not for you. High noise from somebody else using the bathroom in other floors (everyday from 7am on). Noise from staff in the corridors. Definetely I couldnt sleep well there.

The building has some beef, it is seriously impressive and sitting in the covered cloister is always going to be good for parents and kids. Oh apart from the slightly deranged boy loitering, but that's not the hotel's fault. However, maybe this is average in Spain, I dunno, but if you have a very fussy child, or if you have spent your child's life fearfully under salting everything, you may have difficulties here. Asking for plain pasta presented significant confusion, boiled unsalted rice almost as much. Ok my daughter is a a little freakish, but the food here and elsewhere with its slightly brutal hours can be hellish. Parents may claim something back here though, from a past life when they may have been able to visit such a thing as a cloister, and have a moment of scratchy chinned reflection. Furthermore and moreover, the bargainous prices of quality Rioja frequently resulted in a double take and request for written confirmation. Maybe that's why I'm still writing this, when I should be going to sleep.

Nice place. Didn't try the food because a 1 star Michelin restaurant is just infront of the hotel. Inside is nice. Bed is old but ok ;)

DREADFUL CALLOUS TREATMENT OF CANCER SUFFERER. I booked two rooms at this hotel on 26.02.17 for the night of 11.05.17. One of our group who had stayed at this hotel on at least two previous occasions was diagnosed with cancer and is having radiotherapy so we have had to cancel our entire trip to Spain. On 25.03.17 to contacted the hotel. As I had booked non refundable I asked for a credit to be held for a future trip which we had intended to make to this hotel. The hotel point blank refused to give us any credit. We will never visit this hotel when we return to Spain and I hope that anyone who reads this may consider booking another hotel in Haro

Fantastic, wonderful 14th century building that used to be a monastery. There staff were perfect, attentive, kind but not annoying (almost invisible). The restaurant was 5 star too. Will definitely be coming back.

Everything is great. Accommodation, buffet, staff, location, amenities. The building is very impressive too.
