Excellently located. Impeccable service.
Over priced, do not deserve a 5 star rating. You're just paying for location. Waited 30 minutes to check in. We had a wheelchair companion with us and when we complained about accessibility in the room we were asked if we would like to check out. We specifically asked for wheelchair access before booking. It's a stylish hotel, in a good location , but we were very let down by the staff we had dealings with.
Clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast is very good. Recommend
Good location, good rooms, good service
Good position, in the centernear the bar area, near the cathedral..but very old..the girls from reception very proffesionals and polite.
People are nice, very clean and quit and in the center
The service was very personal and location was amazing. Very central.
Centrally placed hotel, nice rooms and great breakfast. Lacks a gym and parking onsite
.
Good for thin people
Well situated in town centre with view of Alhambra from top floor terrace bar.
Car park, public, 100 metres away but a nightmare to find through tiny one way streets and very tight curving entrance. A big car may have to manoeuvre to get in. You definitely need a satnav to find it and to leave it as the exit is on to a one way street that leads to a major commuter street which changes direction at different times of day!
Well, that's not quite true. It is one way for most vehicles most of the day but becomes two way in the evening. This is an interesting experience.
TIP. Don't use your car in Granada, leave it in the car park and take taxis. Cheap at six euros anywhere in town.
TIP Don't ask Reception to get taxi, it'll take longer. Just walk outside and stop one.
Hotel modern and airy. Not really 4 or 5 star, however. Rooms small and missing small touches such as Kleenex in bathroom or full length mirror in room. Wardrobe space woefully limited.
Major downside is that some rooms have an internal door in the bathroom to shut off WC but it is too large to open properly, and hits other bathroom fittings so you need to sidle past it. Fine if you are slim. Or not pregnant.
TIP Ask about the lavatory door when you book or get there. Avoid room 205, for example.
Service could be excellent, smIling and keen young trainees everywhere. However, because they are trainees, they sometimes cannot answer tourist queries correctly, and we nearly lost our entrance to the Alhambra because of wrong information given about our tickets.
First of all the great question is, why on earth does this hotel have 5 stars??!!
There is nothing 5 starish about it. Old, loud and lousy service. The first woman at the reception desk simply knew nothing. She didn't even know how many stars the hotel has. That didn't matter much but still an interesting detail.
As we were traveling with our baby. We asked in advance for a large bed. This was apparently not programmable. So the day before we made sure that they knew about out preference.
At the day of the arrival though we were told that there were no rooms with a large bed available, after quite a bit of discussion a room with large bed did appear. How strange.
The room was quite old. Many tiles in the bathroom broken and really not in a good state in general. The windows did not keep the noise out at all. Terribly loud.
The final detail and personally for us by far the worst We forgot one of our chargers in the room.
I'm used that hotels call in case that they find things. Not here! When I called they told me that in fact they found it. So if I wouldn't have called, I would have one charger less now.
Never again!
