We ate here due to the rave reviews, but found the food a bit lacking. The food was thoroughly bland and (I suspect because it is close to many hotels) is also more expensive than average. It was difficult to find vegetarian dishes and the standard hummus fallback was a tiny portion. Overall, we thought it was over priced mediocre food. Not a terrible experience, but nothing to write home about either.
Nice restaurant with good quality food. The service was good but not impeccable. We had a variety of things and none blew me away but then they were all tasty. Moroccan food is their specialty but I was disappointed that they didn't have any yoghurt? I thought that was one if their staples.
After to weeks if eating tapas I wanted something else. Al-Medina did not disappoint me. The decor is wonderful even a bit fairy-tale like After a friendly welcome olives were given to me as an appetizer. I ordered a vegetable couscous but had to ask for the harissa. Some bread and beans were also being put on the table, but there was a price for this. The couscous was delicious but when I eat a vegetable couscous in Belgium I get lots more vegetables I had a glass of the red Maroccan housewine which was good but also a bit expensive. Service remained friendly and not pushy.
Came here because of its raving reviews but we were somewhat disappointed.
Our server which was probably the restaurant manager, she was trying very hard to sell the dishes.
The food itself was confusing. Yes, it was our first time eating Moroccan food but still, it tastes quite bland and somewhat on the sweeter side.
The service was okay and it's definitely priced higher than standard Seville food rates.
I do not intend to discourage anyone to try this place but be prepared to be hustled by their staff and for an unusual tasting food.
Great Place, friendly staff; one of them can speak English, French and Spanish. This is great so you don't need to know Spanish to go here. On the menu on the outside there are no translations for English but if the waitress is alerted that you speak English she will hand you a fully English translated menu.
The only disappointing thing I came across in this experience was the that beef skewers were chewy. But the rest of the food was top notch. Good value food for what you pay.
Excellent authentic Moroccan experience. Amazing food and hosts were exceptional
Great Moroccan food, service in many languages, I heard Spanish, English, French, German, Arabic and Italian
Ended up here on Xmas eve since nowhere else was open. Boy were we happy we did! Best meal in Spain so far. Tasty food and great ambiance.
So yummy! Authentic decor and romantic ambiance! Wish we could've stayed longer to eat here again!
Friendly staff Munni and Karim, food was good. Beautiful decor and cozy.
