    One of the oldest Monasteries in the world. You can see the Burning Bush of Moses here. The monastery is up in the mountain that can be accessed via foot or pay $1 to a Bedouin and he will take you up there in his car. No other vehicles are allowed due to security reasons.

    It stands at the foot of Jabal Musa (Mount Horeb) where Moses received the Tablets of the Law.
    It is considered a valuable world heritage.

    Sinai mountain is so beautiful to look from here. Walk is kind of hard in hot weather, but its worth to do so.

    The historical highlight in Sinai; arrive by car early, at least at 10 am (it closes at 11.45), park in the designated area; it'a pretty long walk to the monastery itself, you can use a taxi instead but not really necessary; the highlights here are the main church and the museum; souvenirs cheapest and of better quality at the official store; no smoking allowed inside the walls; pay attention to the church's interior - the ceiling and columns bear masonic symbols;
