This is the funerary complex that vizier Imhotep designed and built for the Pharaoh Djoser of the 3rd dynasty. It is the very first structure made out of cut and dressed stone, and at nearly 5,000 years old it still amazes with its elegance. The complex is more than just the stepped pyramid, it consists of an enclosure wall, colonnades, buildings, temples and storehouses as well as a gigantic plaza, which was used to celebrate the king's jubilee celebrations took place. Price of entry: only 100 EGP and well worth it!

Saqqara is consider to be one off the main ancient Egyptian attraction sites, containing the most ancient pyramid ever built in history the (step pyramid ) .
The only 2 pyramids in Egypt containing the pyramid text (onas & pepi's pyramid )
The famous serapeum & expectacul number of old Kingdom tombs dated back to 44 hundred years like tomb of ti and more still to be discovered .

La tumba de Maya, la nodriza de Tutankamón, La tumba fue descubierta en 1996 por una misión arqueológica francesa, dirigida por Alain Zivie, en la necrópolis de Saqqara, al sur de El Cairo. El sepulcro consta de dos niveles: uno dedicado al culto, con tres cámaras decoradas; y otro subterráneo, con cámaras funerarias escasamente decoradas. En la primera capilla del nivel superior hay referencias sobre la vida de Maya. Un relieve representa a la joven nodriza dando de mamar a un niño en su regazo. Se trata de Tutankamón, el faraón niño, cuyo nombre aparece en varias inscripciones.
