Stayed there for a few nights and a bit taken back from lack of friendliness. Mind you, I’ve come from a customer service area that caters to tourist and most likely had my expectations up too high. My first nights meal (room service) resulted in food poisoning that basically set my experience back and postponing my flight out.
Now, the one star goes to the gift shop owner that has now become a friend I keep in touch. Not only did he check up on me (I was having severe stomach pains while trying to shop there) but he did what he could to find the right medicine.
I don’t know if I’ll ever return to Egypt, but I believe this is the highest rating hotel there and nearby to the points of interest I was set on visiting.response / report this review -

We stayed 3 nights in mid october 2017. Breakfast buffet was excellent, egg chef and chicken sausages, fresh fruit, pastries and real butter! Our room had the Pyramids view that we booked. The pools and Spa were 5 star. We mostly ate and drank in the main bar area. Prices were fair and Egyptian food was the best choice. Reception staff were very patient with me, thanks for a wonderful stay. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit the Pyramids.

Excellent hotel to stay in. Was so relaxing and quite to spend the night after a hectic day. The pyramids view and the pool view is so nice, the old hotel is good but the new building is absolutely fantastic. Want a touch of old atmosphere get your room in the old building, want a modern touch get in the new building. Don't miss visiting the mini bazar there.

Good stay. Pyramid view rooms are excellent with fabulous views. Great food. One of the excellent spreads found for both breakfast and dinner.

This resort was definitely in the four star category. I was fortunate to have one of the newer rooms in the pyramid view wing. The views were great and the grounds superb. However, this is definitely a tourist trap hotel, the buffet dinner was okay but breakfast was absolutely dismal, no quality selection of eggs or meats and I was seated at a dirty table. Staff overall were friendly and helpful.

Historic location but bad management. The front desk personnel are good and welcoming. The swimming pool personnel are frustrated and way below standard service or even accepted levels of services. The workers themselves are the main sources of noise and annoying speeches. you probably will hate the place for this reason alone. You will forget the fact that it is Le Meridian.

Being part of Le Meridien group, I expected quality room and service, but nothing of that sort!!
1. I was taken to my room through service lift
2. The door did not lock
3. Food for vegetarian was horrible (pasta and veg curry was raw and just untouchable)
4. The room was dirty and dusty
5. The house keeping did not replenish the complementary tea / toiletries every day. Used empty coffee pack was again stocked.response / report this review -

The grounds themselves are amazing but the front desk staff and managers can be very rude. It's all about the dollar. They are nice as long as you don't need anything extra. When I checked in they quoted a different price from what was confirmed and got mad when I wanted to pay the quoted price. They made me pay for early check-in but my friend who checked in with me didn't have to pay for her room. They also made me pay at check in and didn't let her pay until check out. Everything here is wildly inconsistent. I don't know of it's discrimination or horrible or no knowledge of what they're doing.

A nice hotel with modern rooms.
Bathrooms are good standard for a 4 star.
But it's super busy all the time. And despite having 6-7 people at the reception desk it can take forever to get checked in.
Our water shut down in the morning and they have a weird credit system where you have to top up before you can add anything to your account.
This must have once been a really good hotel but in my opinion really let's down the brand. You have some views of the pyramids from out side the hotel and from a corner of the pool.
The pool is okay but imagine the number of people using it.
Breakie is good with a good selection of food and drink. No omlete station though.
If your looking for something mid-range then this is your best option.response / report this review -

Amazing place with amazing view on the pyramids. Not crowded even in the weekend. The prices in the bar/restaurant are a little bit high for Cairo (for example can of Cola for 2€). But I really recommend this plac

My stay here was ok. The service was ok. Restaurant Food was junk and they took forever every single time. Spa was nice but service wasn't great. You're not allowed to bring outside food/beverages in, which sucks because their food sucks. Hotel employees stalk guest to solicit personal services outside the hotel. I.E. private tours, party favors, chauffeurs, etc, anything to make an extra buck. FYI "NOTHING IS FREE" regardless of what they say, they'll always ask you for money at the end and aggressively say you're paying for protection. The photos online are misconceiving, that amazing pool pictured has been in disrepair since the Pyramids were built. I typically wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, but there's not much to compare to near by.

Had the opportunity to stay with my family at your Hotel for few days during March.2016 and really enjoyed the comfort as home. Rooms are good and well maintained and the Breakfast is excellent and suited for persons of all ages. The hospitality extended by your staff is praiseworthy and my special thanks to Mr. AALA who had extended good service at Reception counter. My Good wishes to all your team .

Cool place, didn't really try the rooms but they seem good. I stayed there for 3 hours and didn't enjoy the service. Place is usually very noise because of the ongoing weddings.
