it is one of the place to see Tallin from above. When going down, don't believe the rope since it is very loose. Hold the pole instead.

Great view from tower. A little bit scary for somebody to go upstairs - not so much place for you and people from up going down - but the view is cool

The view of old town is great from the top. Few euros and a lot of climb and you would be on top. Beware: there are no lifts inside, so you have to walk. But the view on top is amazing and worth the climb.

The st. Olaf’s church is believed to have been built in the 12th century. From 1944 until 1991, the Soviet KGB used Oleviste's spire as a radio tower and surveillance point.
If you want to go to the top you need to pay, and frankly is not worth it.

Definitely a place to visit in case you want to see Tallinn from different perspective! Good exercise for your feet to climb up the steep stairs.

More than 230 old, uneven and windy steps up the spire so be prepared to work a few leg muscles. It's an amazing view of Tallinn that is gorgeous on a clear day. Would definitely recommend it for €3.
** kids over 5 should do the climb comfortably. Our kids loved it.

I came here to climb the spire and it was worth it in my opinion. You would be hard pressed to find a better view of the Old Town then from the top of the Church. It is a strenuous and very very steep climb to the top up centuries old stone stairs. Not good for anyone with leg problems who low stamina!

Reminds me of the scene from In Bruges with the Americans wanting to go up the tower.. . Basically, this is that, not for the feint of heart. Narrow staircase with a loose rope to hold on to. Great view though.

Best views of the city. The climb up the tower is long, but worth it. Their is an 18 inch path around the steeple - definitely something to consider for people afraid of heights. The interior of the church is not as ornate as most, but charming in it's simplicity.

There is no shortage of view points and observation platforms in Tallinn, but the tower of this Oleviste Kirik is definitely is must-see. All of Tallinn and beyond at your feet. The church itself doesn't showcase anything particular of interst. It's a bit weird too, with the dozens of video screens everywhere

The climb is definitely worth it for the view of the old and new city of Tallinn.
The observation deck allows panoramic views in all directions of the city. The climb itself is remarkable and one wonders at the workmanship that went into crafting the stairs and wooden structure.
