The best things about this place are the location and quite nice rooms (though small). Receptionists not helpful at all. They cannot handle their bookings or payments. Ruined the great vacation for me totally.

Friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast. Room dirty; see pictures. Blood on the toilet. Hairbundle on the floor. Qtips behind the night desk. A piece of bread on the floor. Beds very soft. Not very comfy for my understanding.

When we arrived in the late evening 8th December 2017 and the hotel knew we would arrive late, we were told that the rooms we had booked in June were not available, but that the Gotthard Residents Hotel would transfer us to another hotel which they would pay for. We waited nearly half an hour for the taxi to arrive which drove us far from the town centre where we wanted to be, and we were taken to a hotel which was on the coast, and designed for beach holidays. The following day, we had to pay for breakfast in our changed hotel, which had been included in the price of the Gotthard. Booked by Expedia, Expedia was helpful when I asked if we could be transferred to a centrally located area as we wanted to see various attractions there. Expedia rang me an hour or so after I contacted them, saying they had no response from Gotthard who would not pick up the phone. As Expedia could not confirm the situation, they could not help, so we were obliged to stay in the replacement hotel. We returned to Gotthard and asked why they had not answered the telephone. The receptionist said he was busy and he had no authority to do anything for us. The visit to Tallinn was ruined. One star has to be given to post this review but I would leave none if I could.

Quirky hotel in a terrific location in Old Town. I found the staff and breakfast lacking but the room was clean and the shower had great water pressure which is super important. And the location cannot be beat.

With this price you know you won't get 5 star luxury hotel. So be prepared that you have to climb lots of stairs to get in to your room (if you have bad knees or health problems, do not book this hotel) and be prepared for "light breakfast". Also be prepared that in summer rooms are very hot and once a while you hear squeaks from the stairs or other rooms.

But if your health is in good condition and you need a cheap hotel which actually is in quite a good location (near Texas Honky Tonk bar/restaurant and quite close to harbor and also close to barber/beauty salon) then this is your place. And also try Olevi residents nearby if you want a cheap hotel and this doesn't mach your taste.

The location is great, staff is very friendly, the view is nice, the rooms are clean, but extremely tiny. In an economy double room there is no room to open two big suitcases at once. Other hotels in Old Town provide bigger rooms for the same price!

The hotel is cozy and is conveniently located next to all highlights of the Old city, what I liked. However, I found my room too small, toilet really tiny (I can't even use towel inside after shower). The breakfast was very basic and WiFi was pretty unstable and slow. For the price tag you have, I am used to much better facilities, if comparing to Europe or the USA.

Hotel is in a very good location, in the old town. Overall premises look nice and cosy. The room I stayed unfortunatelly had very bad smell from the shower. There's something really wrong with the sewage system.

Perfect location. Staff was not too friendly, could be more smiley and polite. The mattresses are very very soft, and the breakfast is not the very best but as it is included in a very cheap room price this should not be criteria!

Small rooms (we were in 215), but not an issue for us. We only slept/bathed (awesome shower!!) in it and weren't bothered what kind of a time our bags were having while we we're out exploring the city!
Otherwise, friendly staff and an excellent location at the Sea Gate end of Pikk - a short walk from the center of the Old Town. Reasonably priced with a decent breakfast thrown in (continental plus baked egg, sausage, pork balls and beans).
Despite being -7 outside room was warm enough to allow us to have the window open to cycle the air.
Seemed quite busy, but despite this the complimentary WiFi was reliable and quick enough to stream.

Nice medioeval atmosphere. Room was small but furnished with a flat screen and fridge. Bathroom was very clean and with heating under the floor. Location is perfect to visit the old town.

Location couldn't have been better. Facilities and amenities are good for the price, and there's a breakfast included. Don't expect too much at this price though - it's going to be eggs, sausages, salad and some cake. But hey, that's enough to start the day. Otherwise - very happy with everything.
Oh, but do bring your own shampoo!
