As is so often the case in historic cities, if you want an affordable restaurant or bar that the locals frequent, head for the basements. Definitely the case here where the food strikes me as authentic, well prepared and locally sourced.

Reputedly oldest pub in Tallinn. What a find! We contemplated going in to "Meat & Wine" next door when a local lady passerby just calmly announces "I'd go next door, much better & cheaper also" so we took her advice and what was meant to be a quick pint b4 heading back to the hotel turned out to be an entire afternoon followed by dinner & of course more beer! 4 half litres of local beer for €15 n four massive dinners plus sides & even a starter for less than €50 steady flow of customers (mostly local) kept the atmosphere going the entire time. Brilliant!

Cheap but tasty food, 50 different beers, old atmosphere. Place for me where I always go while in Tallinn. And it is one of the oldest beer drinking places in Tallinn

The place was half empty very stuffy in the summer. Food was ok a little undercooked salmon overall I would pass next time. There are plenty of other great restaurants outside to visit. I would place it into the category of cheap quick places to grab something inexpensive. Try olde hansa for a more authentic experience.

Got my food within a few minutes after ordering. Very reasonable price (~6€ for a tasty beef patty burger with french fries) compared to neighbouring places. Place was nice and quiet at the time of visit (~18:30 on a Thursday evening).

The service wasn't great here. Staff weren't massively friendly as well as messing up food orders which were completely different to what we ordered. The beer was ok but not good for the price. Would recommend many other places before going here.

Services are bad sometimes. If you go there like two or three friend they always bring you food different time. Sometimes they forgot you totaly. My own experience two times. Price are quite ok.
