  We had a great time at San Jorge Tandayapa. There are three canopies at the lodge that create excellent opportunities for bird photography and bird watching. Tandayapa is in a tropical cloud forest, at an elevation of about 7,000 ft. The accomodation at San Jorge are very comfortable. Room #8 has a balcony looking over the mid-growth forest. You can hear the strong flow of the river in the valley below. The restaurant provides an excellent introduction to Ecuadorian foods, including delicious fruits, soups, and meat or fish entrees. The staff provide excellent service.

  Marvelous place, peaceful, colorful, plenty of hummingbirds some of them Choco endemics, also a lot of other species.
  A wonderful place for birdwatching, photography or just relax.
