I am not sensitive to noise, at all. If you get a room in the ground floor, it is extremely noisy - like sleeping in the middle of a restaurant noisy. The place is beautiful, but these rooms should not be rented out.

Lugar para hospedarse? Tiene restaurante. Lo que no tiene es parqueadero y envian a dejar el coche a un parqueadero sña unas dos cuadras del hotel

This is a beautiful old hotel. My daughters live in Ambato and I visit fairly often, so I like to choose different places to stay whenever I go. For my last visit, I chose Roka Plaza and I was very pleased. My girls were super excited to stay at such a fancy place, and everyone doted on them. Our room was nicely appointed and clean--no complaints there at all. We loved how all the rooms were set on the second floor looking down on the dining area. The breakfasts were outstanding, as were all the other meals we tried in between. We loved the fruit smoothies in the middle of the day, and various other snacks we tried. Parking is via a free parking pass at a multi-story garage about a block away. It's not exactly convenient, but finding secure parking in downtown isn't always easy, and being in a secure garage was worth the short walk back to the hotel. One other huge and unexpected benefit was being at Roka Plaza during Ambato's Festival of Fruit and Flowers. The owners let us have seats right on the sidewalk in front of the hotel during the parade. If you know how difficult it is to get a good seat during the parade at this time of year, then you'll appreciate how it went for us. My girls felt like princesses, and we got great views of the floats and performers. All in all, Roka Plaza was a great experience. It's not as cheap as other accommodations in the city, but it is definitely worth every penny!

Un hotel con una infraestructura colonial agradable, pero las habitaciones no brindan el confort para una noche de descanso. El hotel tiene una gran acústica interna que en las noches si alguien llega de madrugada o un empleado no considera su tono de voz y gritamolesta a las personas que descansanno lo recomiendocomo opción de cena puede ser una buena idea, para descanso definitivamente no.

My grandmother and I stayed at the Roka Plaza Hotel for three nights. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable and the staff were also very very sweet. The restaurant prices are a bit high for Ecuador (about the same price as a regular meal in the U.S. or maybe a little less) but that is to be expected for this level of dining. The hotel is also in a central location, the tourist information center is just a block and a half blocks away and it is only a couple blocks from restaurants and a lovely city park. We enjoyed our stay greatly.

Un servicio deplorable. Hice una reserva para un cumpleaños especificando que era cumpleaños. A la hora de llegada no tuve ninguna mesa asignada ni nadie se acercó a atendernos me todo acercarme al escritorio de recepción y solicitar que nos hagan sentar. La.comida dejo mucho que desear. Al momento del postre de cortesÃa por el cumpleaños me todo volver a solicitar cave recalcar que al momento de mi reserva le.dije que por favor me ayude lo cual la señorita me aseguro estarÃa listo el postre y escrito feliz cumpleaños lo cual no paso. Lo único que sirvió de este restaurante fue el mesero. Fue una excelente atención por parte de el
