Super location, great vibe, good breakfast, clean and high ceilings. As the website states some rooms can be loud, because of the malecon so best to ask for a room a the back. English spoken. Nice staff.

Nice common areas, good breakfast. However, there was a sour sweaty odor in most of the rooms make sure to get a room with a openable window facing outdoors or it isn't worth staying.

In the three bed dorm, one of the beds is actually on top of the restroom. You can guess what bed I got. They try to sell it as a loft bed, but it's easily 10 feet (2.5m) off the ground, and climbing up to it felt very unsafe- just imagine trying to do that if you had a few drinks first. If you need a noise machine to sleep, I guess the occasional flushed toilet and accompanying soft trumpet solos are a suitable replacement.
On top of that, the hostel staff is a bit icy. Not a fan of this place at all. 2 stars because the location is ok, but honestly, there are much better places to stay nearby. Skip it if you can.response / report this review -

I love this place!
Perfect location, just in front of the Malecón 2000, delicious food, they have a cafetería with organic products in the menu.
Receptionists are very helpful and nice with the guests and visitors.
Ricardo and Rosi, the owners, are ready to attempt any request you have.
A place to return everyday!

Location along the Malecon was great as it was in the middle. Metro via line close. Interesting eclectic hostal. Breakfast and water included. Live music included some nights just outside rooms, but ear plugs included

Very nice place for the rate - definitely a "hostal" and not a full service hotel, but this place has a very nice vibe with active social areas and delicious vegetarian food.
They've done their best to block noise from the adjacent crowded street with double windows and the air conditioning, but be aware it's a noisy location.
The room was quite comfortable with plenty of space and a solid bed. The bathroom was compact but nicely designed and had better than expected soaps and body wash.
As other reviews have noted,be aware they have no elevator and this is a multi-story building. If you can't carry your own bags you should probably stay someplace with a bellman.response / report this review
