  La Casa Verde was our favourite hostel during our five week vacation. The staff was excellent and helped us a lot during our stay in Baños. The hostel is located a bit out of the centre, but that wasn't much of a concern since a taxi is only 1.5-2$ each way. You are rewarded with lovely views of the surrounding mountains and river. The breakfast is continental with an accent on natural products. You can have a great muesli there!
  A concern: the showers on the first floor are not hot enough. It was because the bathroom was too big and the water couldn't heat the surrounding air! The rooms are truly huge and comfortable.

  A great eco hostel! Awesome breakfast with very friendly vibe. Rebecca and Doug go out of their way to make you feel at home. Highly recommended if you're going to Banos.
