Great spot in Quito. Nice rooms and people.
Good hotel. Good location. Lunch room staff could be a little nicer but other than that it's great.
Good breakfast, clean, good price
Location is excellent near market and large square with all sorts of restaurant from authentic $2.50 meals to Americanized styles! Barely no tourist which is great!
Quality breakfast and good location
Centrally located. Not new but they give good maintenance to the facilities. Helpful staff. Good typical Ecuadorian dishes in the restaurant.
Large rooms, with all the ammenities you would expect from a modern hotel. EXCELENT value per dollar paid. Fairly quiet at night (you need to remember you're in the middle of the city, noise is to be expected, but nothing bad). Excelent staff and great food, pastries and bread made in premises with excelent quality
Stayed in Quito for about a week at the Hotel Sebastian. Great 2 bedroom room with an amazing view of downtown Quito and a nice flat-screen TV.
They offer a free buffet breakfast in the mornings and have a pretty good restaurant, however there are several other great resturants nearby. The hotel is very close to just about everything and the staff were friendly and spoke very good english.
Comfortable and quiet
Comfortable, great location close to Plaza Fosh and it's night life, a restaurant with great food.
It isn't a perfect hotel, but it is still a solid, slightly dated, nice place. I started with a cheap single room, which was fine, although pretty small (but cheap!). I was able to upgrade to a larger room a couple of nights in for $15 per night extra, and that was definitely a worthwhile improvement.
The staff was quite helpful. The beds are fine, although not the most luxurious. The rooms are generally fairly quiet. The blackout curtains are pretty good (and I appreciated that they had blackout curtains!). The location is pretty close to the main square in La Mariscal, but just far enough that a couple of blocks of the walk are a bit empty and dark.
I also asked the night before checkout about a cab for a very early flight that would mean a ride at around 2:30 in the morning, and they assured me that would be no problem. When I arrived at checkout around that time, the driver was waiting and ready (I hadn't even asked for the driver to be there! I had only made sure that calling one at that hour would be doable). That was quite a pleasant checkout experience.
So, all in all, this is a great place. It is a solid four stars, getting close to five. If Google allowed for half stars, this would be 4.5.
Great, quiet hotel in the middle of fun touristy places. Rooms are generous, bed is comfy, free bottled water upon arrival. Breakfast is also nice, including meat and eggs.
