Hace tres años tuve la oportunidad de visitar Mindo y hospedarme con un grupo de amigos en la hosteria casa de piedra. Sin duda alguna un lugar cómodo, acogedor y donde tiene la tranquilidad absoluta para descansar.
En la noche compartimos en la piscina bajo un cielo decorado de las estrellas más brillantes que mi vida de turista e visto.

Un lieu vraiment paisible dans un cadre naturel et merveilleux. Le personnel est agréable et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner proposé est riche est bon. Un lieu à recommander.

We had a double private room with shared bathroom for two nights. The first night was quiet and the bathroom clean. The second night, the hotel was full. As the room is in a 3 storey wooden cabin sound travels very easily. We were on the top floor but could still hear other people walking around, slamming doors, using the bathroom. As a result of being so busy the barrooms were dirty and unpleasant to use. The room had a sloped roof which went down on the bed. We had to pull the bed out to give enough space for 2 to sleep comfortably without hitting your head which further limited space. The main light for the room is extremely dim, you have to use the night stand light and your phone/torch to find anything in your bag. The wifi was impressively good though we didn't try to stream anything. The pool is shallow (we didn't use it). They have hammocks, a pool table and a fusebol table. Towels and soap are provided.

Wonderful place! My family and I stayed at Casa de Piedra for a couple of nights while visiting Mindo. We stopped by without reservations and were greeted warmly, and given a tour of the place. They were able and wiling to accommodate the 7 of us. We were treated to fresh juice out on the patio upon arrival. The staff were wonderful. They made an effort to communicate with my English-speaking family, and make everyone feel welcome and cared for. They helped us to organize our trip by lining up tickets for us to see different things in Mindo (I would recommend the night walk through the Cloud Forest). My grandmother and mother loved the hot chocolate that Mariela made from scratch. Mariela also personally took us to a tour of Yumbos, where we learned about the process of making artesanal chocolate. Casa de Piedra absolutely surpassed our expectations, and I would gladly stay there again should I find myself in Mindo.

Site très bien aménagé, comprenant une piscine extérieure. Idéalement situé, un peu en retrait du centre de la petite ville de Mindo (5-10 minutes à pieds). Personnel sympathique et avenant. Bon déjeuner inclus.
