The place looks very nice in the begining, but the water didn't work in the whole building. They finally said that we can take a shower downstairs, but we had to pour water in the toilet. Let's say that that was still not a huge deal. The problem was the awful noise starting from 7:30 in the morning next day ( they are still building probably, so ist was hammer time). After a night with 3 hours sleep(we were up until 4:30 because of altitude sickness) it is definetly not a nice way to wake up. The food was good. The fireplace was nice.

Runa Wasi was a terrible option in Quilotoa. The rooms are nice and the showers are supposed to work really well but ours did not work. They managed to fix it after a while. They were always late of an hour for food, even though they are the one telling us the time it will be served. They would bring cutelry one by one for almost 20 mintes before starting to serve the food. We had to change our bus plans in the morning just because they were so late.I said many time I was vegetarian and they said there was a vegetarian option but actually there was chicken in my soup, and only small pieces so obviously I saw it only after eating half of it.
Many of us were sick with the food. The food was not nice, and arrived cold even though we waited more than an hour. The portion were too small and there was no desert (most hostal do have one). When we complained about the quantity they served us a bit more food which was good. There must be many better option in Quilotoa so just choose another one.

The shower sucks. The food is not good and they need to improve their WiFi for sure.

Worst place we stayed in Ecuador. Not because of the quality, but because of ripping you off and lying. We got a room with a fire place. The guy told us that they are going to light it in the evening. They did not. When i asked to do so as it was freaking cold in the room, they just gave us a tiny electric heater. I asked if i can make myself a coffee and my wife, who got a cold, a tea. He agreed but on the last day he charged us 2$ extra for one tea and two cups of boiling water. The shower is horrible, the water changes from boiling to cold without doing anything. They say they have wifi, but it never works. The food was better in other places we have stayed while doing Quilotoa loop. The soup had tens of tiny bone pieces which were very sharp and hard to notice. The whole hostel is just plain cold, i do not think they know how to use the fire chimney. It is not that it is dirty or something, but they smile at your face and later charge you for everything that they did not say they will. There were no extra charges writen anywhere. 50cents for f*ing cup of hot water

Great quality and value for money in a town of lower quality hostels.

We were caught in a freezing. Rain when the owners picked us up and gave us a lift to the hosteria. It's newly constructed, each room is clean and has a private bathroom. Overly expensive for an area full of hotels and hostels though.
