This is a basic cheap room. Wifi works best in the common room and did not work in my room (which was close to the common room). When bieng shown to my room I was only shown 2 showers and toilets and led to believe this is all the hostel had. The showers had cold water and we're treakling - zero power. After checking out I learned there were better facilities downstairs.

This place is very dirty, needs a power wash. Good location and that's it. Noisy common areas. Not worth the price.

Pleasant stay and a nice cafe / restaurant on the main floor. Lots of common areas to hang out. Breakfast included.

The 1 star rating is due to be turned away from entering the hostel at 7:30 a.m. I understand the hostel's arrival hours aren't until 12:00; but, I had just arrived from the coast (Oct. 29) and was I'll equipped for the cold morning. Got no love or help from the man who opened the door, he just sent me away. Boy was I cold. Hope I can return another time.

This hostel has everything you need, including a nice simple breakfast, but it feels a little run-down and neglected. Bathrooms and showers are particularly drab and not as clean as most people would hope. Still, the location and price are very good.

In my Top 5 list of hostels in South America. Definitely the best in Cuenca. Book early as it fills up quickly. Spacious rooms, lively bar, and funky tribal decor make this a Top Spot. I just wish they hadn't run out of t-shirts!
