  We traveled to the Galapagos Islands in May with a trip planned through Verónica Pineda at the Galapagos Travel Center. We were able to choose from a wide variety of day tours and hotels, as we preferred a land-based tour. Our trip was for eight days, and we stayed on Santa Cruz and Isabela. From the moment we arrived at the Baltra Airport to the moment we were dropped off at the end of our trip, everything went perfectly. We were picked up at the airport Dario who guided us to the bus, ferry, and taxi. It would have been a hassle to negotiate this on our own. He took us to our hotel and then to a restaurant for lunch. As our flight was over an hour late, we welcomed the efficiency this provided. Dario then guided us through the Darwin Center, which we could have done on our own, but he added so much more information and pointed out things we might not have seen. He also took us to Tortuga Bay, which we also could have done on our own, but on the walk there and on the beach, he pointed out things we wouldn't have identified on our own. We were very happy with the hotels, day tours, and restaurants that were arranged. Each day went perfectly, and we were picked up on schedule at our hotel to be taken to the port (in Santa Cruz, it's a 40-minute drive) and driven back at the end of our cruise. On Isabela, everything went just as smoothly. We were greeted by Carlos, who was delightful and took us to see the flamingoes. Our guide, Joseph was also exceptional. The trip was a wonderful experience, and it was a great comfort to have it arranged so efficiently. We also loved the freedom this provided as were were not on a schedule as we would have been on a cruise-based tour and had plenty of time on our own. I highly recommend this agency for planning a trip to the Galapagos.
