My husband and I went to Ecuador for our honeymoon. We were in and out of Quito and each time we stayed in Quito we stayed at Casa El Eden. The B&B is beautiful, cozy, and the breakfasts are incredible. Mario and his wife are so sweet, so friendly, and so helpful. The are both so warm and welcoming and care about making each of their guests feel at home (and they love to help people practice their Spanish). At one point, we arrived back from Cotopaxi late at night, cold, and wet and they welcomed us in, found us a room, and served us to tea to warm us up. I cannot say enough about how great Casa El Eden was. If I am back in Ecuador, I would never consider staying anywhere else.

Back from this lovely property just over a week ago. Three really enjoyable nights. Really lovely room in a quirky building full of character (as is the wonderful Mario !). Great breakfasts.
Edging the historic old town - don't be put off by the exterior of the building or the street it's on - it's a gem of a place. Only minor negative was a bit of traffic noise from about 0600 (but it's a busy city !) Mario could not have been more helpful with arranging excursions, getting us taxis when required, and taking care of every need. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My wife and I are in our mid thirties. We wanted a comfortable, upscale place with some local character. We stayed for two nights. Casa Eden was what we where looking for but at the same time surprised us by exceeding our expectations. The decoration and renovations show genuine character unique to Quito without trying too hard. The owners are so helpful and genuinely care that you have a good stay and good time in their city. They recommended an excellent guide named Carlos who also cared and was very knowledgeable. He took us to some great tourist spots like Cotopaxi Volcano which he had summited many times. He also took us to spots tourists don't usually get to see. Breakfast was simple but high quality. The location was ideal.

Casa El Eden (CEE) was WONDERFUL in every way. After booking, the CEE team easily arranged airport transfer upon request. Our flight got in late but the driver was waiting and pointed out different landmarks and Quito facts as we drove.

When we arrived at CEE, owner Mario was there to greet us and show us to our room. The Spanish Colonial style B&B was cozy and beautiful with all floors looking down onto a central courtyard. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The street noise was audible but not sleep-inhibiting.

Breakfast was lovely with fresh bread and jam, cafe con leche, eggs cooked to your liking and fresh blended juice. We were always full when we left the table! Mario and his wife Blanca were friendly and helpful with recommendations on what to see and do around the city. Mario also helped us practice our Spanish, and we enjoyed chatting with him.

The B&B itself is centrally located. We could walk 5 minutes to the museums and churches in Old Town. It was also a short cab ride or scooter ride to the other sites like the virgin of Quito, the botanic gardens, the Observatory and more. Speaking of scooters, Mario let us park ours inside the lobby for no additional charge as street parking was non-existent. If we wanted to relax, there is a nice rooftop lounge area with cerveza and a great view!

Bottom line- we felt very at home, the owners are friendly and welcoming and the establishment itself is tasteful, quiet and clean. Not to mention the beautiful architecture. I'm sure there are other great places to stay in Quito, but we are loyal CEE fans now and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we travel to Quito. Stop searching and book your stay ASAP. Casa El Eden is THE place to stay when you're in town!

Thanks Mario (and Blanca) for your hospitality.

This is a really nice hotel. The entry door does not look like much but once you're inside, wow! There's an inside courtyard that's really nice and the rooms are modern. Breakfast is included and amazing! They always have fresh fruit, make eggs the way you like it, and different types of bread. And the hosts are very accommodating with any special requests like asking for the breakfast to go.

    Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at casa el Eden for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. We arrived late Friday night and Mario greeted us with his bright smile. He arranged for airport transfers and a day tour of Otavalo market with Carlos (highly recommended!!).

Every morning Mario y Blanca prepared us an amazing breakfast with eggs, fresh fruits, delicious breads, juices, coffee, etc. When we told them it was our honeymoon they brought us glasses of champagne with huge smiles.

Our room was spacious and beautiful. The location is fantastic, on the same block as a pharmacy and around the corner from Plaza deal Teatro one of the main squares. It can be a little noises but we loved being close to everything in the old town. Mario made us dinner reservations and helped us with general questions.

Don't miss the hidden rooftop terrace! We absolutely loved our trip and we feel like family! Muchas gracias Mario y Blanca! Besous!
