Very nice hostel although they have great facilities (super comfy beds, hot water and amenities) they need to improve customer experience. Bed was 10USD and food is much better in the restaurant near by

Very rude staff, didn't show any interest in customer service at all. Tried to sel the room for 25$ which we negotiated down to 15$. So do not pay more than 15$!

Didn't have curtains (at street level!!), no water, no towels, no toilet papers. After asking many times for all the missing stuff, we eventually got it after a few hours.

The food was average and really not a lot. No deserts as all other places on our 5day hike served. To round it up, they gave us wrong bus times to Latacunga in order to sell us their taxi service. They didn't give me my 5$ change back. Really, really bad place. It's a big rip off!

Booked a night here with my boyfriend by simply walking in and asking for a room(prices slightly negotiable). Warm comfy beds, each room has a fireplace, good wifi! But be aware the dinner and breakfast is quite small, really really small portion sizes for a group of 8 people!
Also you should note the interaction with the reception women/house keepers is sometimes tense if not awkward.

They had amazing home made dinner and breakfast. Worth the stay right there.

I stayed here on the third night of the Quilotoa loop. It did the job. I paid $25 but was too tired to haggle so it seems like you can get it for $20 according to other reviews. The room and bed was very nice and included a heater which was very crispy at night. This is what you want at 3800 metres. There was a common area with wifi, computer and a heater. The WiFi was ok considering how high the town is at. You have dinner and breakfast next door at Alpaca which is affiliated with here.
I was happy with what I got.
