  This is a charming little restaurant near the beach. The dining area is the on first floor for ca 28 guests, indoors. On the ground floor they have the bar and restrooms. Under good wether conditions you can sitt outside of the restaurant. The service is real good.

  Le Petit Francois is a restaurant run by a Canadian in Puerto Plata. A mostly Canadian-French inspired restaurant.
  
  All of the food was made fresh with good ingredients. We started with the Shrimp tartar except that the shrimp albeit fresh was cooked. I also had the fish of the day - on the menu is said it was fried but I didn't realized it was battered and deep fried but incredibly fresh. We also tried the chicken cordon blue, it was cut into pieces which was slightly odd. The 3 layer was brownie could have done without.
  
  The food was good and Francois was lovely!! We had great service but some things weren't as described or what I was expecting. Overall, I'd go again.

  Brought some local friends out for lunch recently. Prices were a little high, but the fried fish was excellent, and the service even better! A friendly dog hung out on the terrace during our meal, and the server allowed one of our new local friend to bring food from another nearby comedor, as he didn't have the budget for their meals. As I was questionning about mamajuana (a dominican liquor), the server offered us free shots so I could taste it. Overall, the experience was great, but their french fries were very meh. Next time, I will stick to local comedores.
