Wonderful Hotel in a magnificent large garden with a beautiful pool, nice bungalows and a very good restaurant at the quiet playa Bonita. What more do you want?

Very nice hotel for chilling and unwinding, staff is friendly, and location is prime (amazing beach front and 15 min drive from Pueblo de Pescadores a nice bohemian style beach town). I would repeat my stay however these are some tips for your stay:
i) They give you the cheapest toilet paper, take your own of possible.
ii) Beach and pool towels are rented to guests for US$5, you are not allowed to use room towels, but you can take your own.
iii) Not allowed to bring in food or drinks (however you can discretely have them in your room)
iv) Hammocks would be nice, probably they could rent them out to guests.
v) We requested change in towels as per room instructions, however towels were only hanged outside the room.
vi) Trash cans in the room are very small, have a spare trash bag.
vii) Room curtains are small and don’t provide good privacy.
viii) You get breakfast included, breakfast has the basic products, nothing fancy.
ix) You can get free water bottles in the bar, found out about this at the end of my stay.
x) Bring bug repellent! There’re bugs, nothing to big, but you will be better off with repellent.response / report this review -

I came here for one week with family and friends and I have rarely had an experience like this. The houses, pool, food and drinks are unbeatable and the beach is amoung the top that I have ever seen and they are in your backyard. I highly highly recommend this place, it is friendly, welcoming and incredible.

The experience at Costa La Ballenas is a true authentic Caribbean experience! The attention to detail by the proprietors, Vincenzo and Gilda truly is personal. This beautiful resort is not a tourist location but a very relaxing and pampering location with a wonderful Italian restaurant that is under Gilda's supervision, and the resort and amenities under Vincenzo's watchful eyes. They will assist in transport and any excursions to enjoy this paradise. It definitely should be on every bucket list. I will definitely be returning.

This resort has a lot to offer for all guest who attend. The rooms are cleaned diligently. Staff is friendly and willing to do whatever needed to benefit your stay.The grounds are well manicured and beautiful. The restaurant has a full menu of excellent food and drink choices. This is a must stay for your Caribbean relaxing vacation or getaway!

Hermoso Resort, bella playa al frente.friendly staff with a very open garden layout great for relaxing durrying the day, night, evnig which ever you choose. i recommend you walk down the beach to
