Nice place but bad wifi

My husband and I stayed here for three weeks. Emily at the front office and all her staff were absolutely wonderful! The room was clean and secure with pretty much everything you need (except a sharp knife). After driving around this beautiful country and seeing other accommodations, this is definitely the best in its price point (and even beyond) Good value!! The area is relatively quiet and very secure. Would not hesitate to come back and bring our family!!!

Las Palmeras is great for the price. The rooms are nothing special, but the grounds are excellent and the location is close to restaurants and the beach. Tell Will, Akili sent you.

The hotel was a 20 minute uber ride ($5 USD) from the airport and away from the main town of Boca Chica so it was quiet. The one bedroom apartment was cool and comfortable. Towels are hidden in the large closet. It was a great value for the money and the beach is located west down the street, walk through the resort hotel just around the corner. There were many expensive restaurants across the street so I walked to the town (about 10 minutes) to eat local food. Wi-Fi was great since the router was actually in my room.
Ocean view is not possible from anything lower than the 4th floor. I was on level 2, which put my deck at ground level (see photo of the view from my deck). I did not feel safe but I had to just trust my luck. Power outages are common on D.R. so be willing to eat in the dark. There is no daily maid service apparently, and asking the front desk for toilet paper is a bit awkward.response / report this review -

The hotel is very quiet place to rest the owner is very understanding, the room is pretty decent mean is was clean, the bar those people are not friendly they ignoring guests when u asked them for something they stayed on the phone.
THE BAD PART
Those security from the top to the bottom they keep asking money for gas this was border me every time when u come they still want money

This is a really beautiful spot. The room we stayed in was simple. There was a bed, dresser, TV, and AC. The bathrooms were shared between rooms but they were kept very clean and always stocked. Everyone was very friendly, the guy who seemed like the owner speaks English and made sure we had a cab when we needed one. The pool was beautiful, the bar was great, the food was tasty, and it's only blocks from the beach! I'm very glad we chose to stay here.

Always a pleasure staying at Las Palmeras. Staff is friendly, laid back atmosphere, and spacious accommodations. A great value!! When I visit the DR, Las Palmeras is always my first choice.

My wife and I stayed there last year for her birthday for a weekend, service was great, the entire place was beautiful just like the pictures on the website, not like other places around there that look nothing like the pictures on there websites, totally enjoyed ourselves plan to go back in January 2016 would and have highly recommended to anyone.
