  I absolutely love this Salon. I was in DR for a couple of days a couple of months ago and decided to try this place out. They were able to fit me in the schedule the same day. I'm extremely picky with who touches my hair. I stopped using heat on my hair about 3-4 years ago and my curls are finally starting to come back again. This was the first salon in DR that didn't try convincing me to straighten my hair after a cut. I love that they told me where I could get the products they used, and they even sell an oil that made my hair smell great! The staff was awesome girl cutting my hair was going through the same process I was and it was great to hear her story, and what motivated her to go natural. I could honestly say this was one of the best hair cuts I've gotten.

  The space itself is hard to find but beautiful. Everyone there is so polite and welcoming. I was so excited to finally go to a salon for curly hair, hoping I could get some new info on how to better care for my hair. The stylist (completely forgot her name) was nice and talked me through what she was going to do.
  
  After washing my hair, she noticed that portions of my hair don't curl because of heat damage and offered me a style with the foam rollers to ensure all of my hair curls. I declined the styling, telling her that although it doesn't curl, it becomes wavy and I would like for her to go ahead with the curl definition.
  
  In regards to the heat damaged hair, she asked if she could cut my ends and even out a portion of my hair that was 2 different lengths. I said "sure but please don't cut too much, I understand I'll need to cut more in the future but I'm not ready for a short cut at the moment". She then proceeds to cut about 5-6 inches off my hair but I couldn't tell until she had gotten to a certain point where I could see it in the mirror. To compensate, she then left my hair in the front longer. I cried for the whole day after leaving because of all things, I specifically stated that I did not want my hair to be so short. I literally look like a dumbass now and I absolutely hate my hair
  
  Spanish: fui para que me hagan una definición de rizos. Después de lavar, le dije que algunas partes de me pelo no rizan por daño de calor. Ella me ofreció un estilo con tollos y le dije que no quería, que quería que me enseñaran con mi pelo así para yo poder aprender y hacérmelo en la casa. Después me pregunto si me podía cortar las puntas; le dije que si y que entiendo que tenía muchas puntas pero que no me la cortará todas porque no estoy lista para un corte muy corte. Ella procede a cortarme 5-6 pulgadas.. cuando me di cuenta, ella comenzó a corta menos y ahora tengo el pelo corto abajo y más largo arriba. No me siento cómoda con mi propio pelo.

  I made a short trip to DR and my husband motivated me to get a haircut. I was lucky enough to get an appointment for the same day.
  
  It was very exciting being surrounded by "pajonuas" like me but it was even more exciting the great service i received from the staff.
  
  They actually call you by your name!! Meaning, you are not a number or just a costumer, but a person who have a name.
  
  Mandy has a great costumer service. She received me like if we were old friends. Wendy gave me the same shape i was looking for without sacrificing my length, and Carolina, oh Carolina, she is such a kind and humble person. She washed my hair with angelical touch.
  
  My only complaint is that the address is outdated and I had to ask around to get there.
  
  I payed 1,000 dop for a haircut, which was way less than I expected.
  
  Girls, You won a new client.

  They definitely know how to work with curly natural hair, the location is clean and centrally located. Everyone is nice and friendly. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because I wanted some highlights and they said they don't do color and lastly I wanted a trim and specifically told my stylist Wendy, to keep it as long as possible. Needless to say, she cut it too short. I was very disappointed with the length of the cut. I even waited 3 days to write this review to make sure I didn't write it out of anger. I would go back for treatment and maybe styling but not a haircut.
