Best surf & turf, best fillet mignon, best fresh tuna steaks, chocolate mousse to die for, Thomas owner & chef is outstanding in quality ingredients, service and delicious plates, consistent award winning food.

the best food you can find in the Puerto Plata area a little off the beaten path but so worth going food portions and flavor are out of this world plus the German beer will be heading back to the Puerto Plata area in a few weeks and will definitely be back

The best restaurant in Puerto Plata. The food was simply delicious and Thomas made the dining experience more than we could have imagined. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went there on our first night in the DR. The portions are HUGE and there is a different taste sensation in every bite. Don't expect the same ole' same ole' here. Thomas uses local fruits and veggies to make every bite a delight. It was so good we went back on Thursday, our last night in town. I asked for the "small" fillet. There was nothing small about it. The green beans were some of the best I ever tasted. If we find ourselves in the DR, we will be back!

Lejos de los restaurantes turÃsticos de la zona, Le Papillon es un lugar singular y sin pretensiones de su dueño y chef Thomas, un alemán que lleva 30 años regentando este delicioso restaurante. Su especialidad es la carne de res (solomillo a la pimienta espectacular), pero también encuentras pollo (delicioso Strogonoff de pollo con pasta), camarones, pescado del dÃa (langosta o atún) y platos vegetarianos y variedad de curries. Alemán con un toque asiático y producto local, sencillamente espectacular a un precio muy razonable (30$ por un plato principal y dos cervezas Paulaner). Las raciones son muy grandes, asà que fue un acierto prescindir de los entrantes.

This is defenitly the best restaurant in the Dominican Republic. And I traveled a lot over this island. And the steak is may be the best on the world. Whenever you como to Puerto Plata, call and make a reservation to try out this imazing food.

Consistently the best restaurant in Puerto Plata for at least 24 years. Nice selection of international dishes. Do suggest making reservations.
