These are pics of some of the awesome dishes served at King Lobster in DR. Paella, Mahi Mahi fish with plantain and rice and of course wouldn't be complete without a drink of Cuba Libre. Also available is fresh coconut water and papaya smoothies.

This restaurant was super disappointing. The location right on the beach is fantastic, but unfortunately the food is pretty bad. And we're a family of 5, so I had the chance to sample 5 different dishes and there wasn't anything that I was willing to finish. (and as a dad, I'm normally more than happy to help finish everyone else's food!) It was also the most expensive place we ate at -- not surprising, as it's on the beach. I hate to rate a restaurant this low, as it's a beautiful setting and I'm normally pretty positive about food. But I'm unfortunately being sincere when I say avoid this restaurant. There are plenty of better options.

Took 1.5 hours to deliver food, forgot drinks, served 2 other parties drinks before us, gave us complimentary drinks but messed those up too (gave only one of us a drink, had to ask for complimentary drink for more than one person). Wasted the first half of our last day. So disappointing.

Great location but the food is not worth the price. Could only order wine by the bootle Got expensive redwine in a icebucket..for white wine. Seems more like a party venue then a restaurant.

service was slow and they forgot my food. To make up for it they rushed the job and it tasted horrible. Even the food that was on time was over cooked. big disappointment.

Went for lunch with 2 friends. Firstly it took about 15 min, and several attempts to establish contact with the staff, before anyone even acknowledged we were there and gave us a menu. I ordered the Tropical salad (lettuce, onion, tomato, mango, avocado) but it was served without mango. When I asked the waitress about it she said “yes, it’s because mango is not in season” - which I think she should’ve mentioned when I ordered as it’s the main ingredient making the salad “tropical”. After complaining I received so called mozzarella as a substitute although it was yellow, dry and seemingly a bit dirty. Also, my friend’s lobster pasta lacked lobster(?). At least she received a discount after complaining.
At least the view was nice but the service overall was bad. Will not go back!

Overpriced tastless pasta. Extremely small portion size.
Had to ask for napkins!!! Unbelievable.
Also heard a flight from employees happening in the back of the restaurant.

This restaurant is on the beach but overpriced. We went for lunch. First, they bring you some bread in a basket, with salt, oil and shredded cheese on the table. It would've been nice if there weren't tiny ANTS in the cheese!! We asked to change the cheese because of that and they did, but we didn't touch the new cheese anyway.
We had a salad shrimp and tuna salad that was supposed to come with guacamole. There was no guacamole!! Apparently, the avocados weren't ripe enough to make guacamole, so we asked for a discount. Also, there were only 3 shrimp in the salad. We also had pasta with eggplant and shrimp. That was the highlight of our lunch. We were also surprised by the price of 1/2 liter of water: 100pesos!
They were nice enough to do a 10%discount on everything because of the lack of guacamole which ended up being 150pesos. I wouldn't go back.

Portions left a lot to be desired, flavor was below average. Not worth the prices if you ask me. Be cautious with tables right on the sand, you'll get sand all over you and your food.

While I visited the Dominican Republic, I dined at the restaurant Huracan Café. It was a beautiful place to eat at. The restaurant sits right on the beach and while you eat there's a lovely breeze that gently blows in further adding to the experience. This is a very casual place, so this is where you can come here and relax.

They have a mixed fish grill, and let me tell you that the fish was very good. The beers were ice cold every time I ordered one which is a huge plus. Also eating here won't break the bank so you don't have to worry about spending too much. They had excellent service, I was pleased with how the wait staff treated me. I look forward to coming back here soon.
