The hotel is called Riverview, but you cannot see the river. Every room is up a flight of steps. They always offer us the same room. With the broken window & messed up wooden entry door. They are closest to my family, offer a/c, breakfast and dinner also a fridge in the room.

Lo único interesante de este lugar es su ubicación. Es un hotel básico, mal iluminado, mal ambientado, que solamente es útil cuando no consigues una cama en el área.

This hotel is not safe, locks broken, I called the manager about it, she sended a guy to check the locks and he did not do anything about it, he said the lock was ok. Cabinets in the room broken, missing pieces and did not close. Dirty bed sheets, I asked the cleaning lady to change the bed sheets, she said they only change the sheets when the customers ask for it and have to be autorize by the manager. I spended 2 nights, they never change the sheets.
For breakfast, had to wait 15 minutes when they bring it to the table, it was cold like from the frige. (1 egg, mashed potato, 3 pieces of dominican salami, a cup of coffe)
I suposed to stay 14 days, but with those inconviniences, I could not stay 1 more night.
I asked for my refund, the manager did not wanted to return my money. I had to asked to speak to the owner, after she called the owner, she gave me the money.

Catastrófico. Cuando llegué no había agua, la habitación deja mucho que desear, solo hay una toalla en la habitación y la que me dieron estaba casi transparente de vieja y para colmo rota.

Well is closet to the city and everything you want it is just like walking for 5, 10, or 15 minutes like hospital, public mall, farmacy, everything is really close

I would say this is 4 star by Dominican standards but 3 or less by American standards. The staff is friendly and helpful, they clean the rooms once a day. We had several rooms, some no AC, others no hot water. But the staff tried to remedy any situation brought up. The breakfast is hearty. Of course it's location is a little sketchy for night time walking around but daytime is fine. If your here on vacation you would probably want to stay at a resort on the beach.
