We just stayed at this Hotel. Everything was so great and better than we expected. Thanks a lot for Ms. Laura and Shantal from Mini kids club: they made our vacation easier. Thanks a lot for Manager of the Main Restaurant Mateo: he provided great service for us. We liked this hotel more than Grand Bahia in Jamaica. Only one concern that there were a lot of candies and chewing gums everywhere and they gave it for small kids without asking parents.

Had a good weekend. The hotel, rooms, and pool are great. The wifi no so great, good luck connecting. The guess services people need better training. One of the people we saw to make a reservation for dinner refused to look at other restaurants and just gave us an early dinner for no reason. Also tried calling them someone picked up and hung up. Overall is a good place and you get a lot of bang for your money.

The hotel is excellent for the price. Its not super fancy but is great. If you dont have a big budget this is a great option.

Food is excellent, different things, good flavor and fresh. Rooms are in perfect condition as well as the rest of the hotel buildings. The staff is very kind and helpful, only one swimming pool (excluding children's one) but it's very big and has a pool bar. The beach is nearby. You can find something to eat 24/7, of course, after 2:00am the options are less but there is some snack.

Entertainment staff was incredible! We loved all the staff, Alexandra was our favorite! The pool bar staff was also amazing. Super quick and accommodating! The food was good, typical buffet but we were never disappointed! Overall it was an extremely enjoyable vacation and we will definitely be coming back!

My daughter and I had a great time. There was always something the resort planned for entertainment. The people were nice very helpful and accommodating. The room was sufficient. The pool and beach was amazing. Snorkeling and the party boat was tons of fun. We met a lot of fun and interesting people can't wait to go back.

Rooms are very clean and very simple..but nice. The resort itself is big and you can walk almost anyplace within no time. The beach is beautiful and the workers all seem to be very nice and helpful. I put three stars because of the food which is not bad but is cold most of the time; and has not been consistently switched out with fresh food. For an all you can eat they could do a better job switching out the food. I feel other then that this place is a dream. Very family friendly and I only speak English and am having no problems it all. Thanks for a good time bahia.

The hotel and staff are beyond amazing. I stayed for 8 days with my husband and 6yr old son. The food selection changed every day and never disappointed. Rigoberto from the entertainment crew was so friendly and made sure everyone was having fun! Definitely make Grand Bahia Principe (La Romana) your next vacation! 😍

The total stay was remarkable. Golf course beautiful, service to golf and back great. Food, a large amount of choices. A la carte restaurant choices amazing. Staff exceptional attention to guests. Clean, well maintained rooms, beach pool and surroundings. A lot of attention given to this resort. Strongly recommend to anyone.

I stayed at the sister hotel, directly next to this one. Both are beautiful. The drinking water from the faucet is nasty, use bottled water to brush your teeth. Also, the staff was amazing. My husband and I went for our anniversary. We wished that we stayed longer. It's worth it to go here.

We can not say enough nice things about this resort. We loved every minute of our stay. The service, food, pool, beach, room, grounds, entertainment, etc. were in excellent standings. The staff that we met now feel like family. Jesus and Andony were phenomenal and made us feel very welcome. The entertainment through out the day and in the evening were so fun. We were also very impressed with the maintenance of the grounds. The greenery was beautiful and very well maintained. We truly and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be coming back!

Our group arrived a few hours ago and after this huge waiting time I found a dead rat under one of the couches today. Is this real? I do not know why I am here I will check later for food and stuff but the experience so far has been quite disgusting and unpleasant. Why 2 stars? it is a hotel and there is bound to be good stuff that puts it at least at 2 but no more after what is happening good lord

Loved every aspect of this place. The customer service went beyond what's expected. They are so warm and friendly and are super helpful. They seem so genuine. The resort itself was like nothing I've ever seen. I felt like I was in a postcard. It was beautiful beyond description and so clean. I'd love to come back

If you are looking for a place to relax but also have some fun this is the best place. They have the best animation team ever. Everyone makes you feel welcome and they are eager to make the whole experience amazing. The place is beautiful and clean and the service and food is top-notch! I would recommend this hotel to families and everyone without a doubt. Thank you for the best time!!!

Very clean hotel and grounds.
Service at main bar and desk is good.
Room cleaning is mediocre.
Pool side bar sucks, take a walk to the main front lobby bar to get your drinks.
Food is good.
Beach is well kept but water is very dirty, my wife and several other guest got stung by a jellyfish while we were there.

Everyone at the resort is ready to serve you in order for you to enjoy the moment. Food was great, room service was very good and all the activities were perfect. My wife and I enjoyed our stayed at the resort and we would definitely come back again. Family vacation.. with 3 kids.. good value for the price.. great a la carte restaurants, lively night life.. clean rooms.. good splash pool for youunger kids. We enjoyed our stay. Had fun. The ocean is not green.. went into ocean one time, enjoyed the pool, however recommend a pool bartender on lower level at all times. I enjoyed the night shows..buffet food depended on theme..average.. the roasted meet was,like spam.. dissappointed in that.. other gran Bahias have better buffet.

Air conditioning did not work. When it was repaired, the temperature could not be regulated. Also the refrigerator was not working, 2 or 3 times a day, the light in the room was switched off; in the next room the water in the tap was only hot or only cold. All these troubles brought great discomfort. Almost every day we had to come to the lobby and ask to eliminate the breakdown. While none of the leaders of the resort brought us their apologies. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Food was amazing rooms are kept very clean nights shows were great. Would be nice to see at least one hot tub or pool open past 6 pm . Due to a near river ocean is not clear but snorkeling trips at catalina are available. Geo nat trip through caves and towns was the best

This was a last minute vacation. We did not do to much research. The Bahia Principe did not disappoint. The resort is very beautiful. We are from the north, so to see flowers of all colors this time of year is a treat. The food we thought was above average for an all inclusive hotel. I am sure you can find something you like. The resort you can tell is trying to please everyone.The rooms are very clean. The beach area is so relaxing. I need shade after awhile, which you can find on this beach. The pool area is also nice. We are hoping to return someday.

Our family had a terrible experience due to issues with rooms, liquor and customer service. We had a group using four rooms of which two had broker A/C units. It took 2 days to fix one of the rooms and the people in the other room had to relocate. Management did not want to switch us to different rooms right away due to them being fully booked in that price range and we did not want to pay extra to get a better room. I spent probably about 8 hours talking to the front desk/management where half the time i was just waiting for people, as it seemed manager was always away and person covering was around, yet not available at the moment. The more i complained the slower and more unavailable people got and i was ping ponged around from person to person.

Also, hard liquor is pretty bad at the bars. If you want semi decent whiskey you have to pay per drink, which isn't cheap. At one point when our group was only drinking vodka, bartender told us they ran out until next day. Although initially place looked really good, due to issues with rooms, terrible liquor and customer service our entire group agreed this place is not worth the money.
