Took a friend there for an eye infection where he was admitted for 6 days and never improved. They continued changing his medicine instead of sending him to the specialist he needed to go to. We finally left and went to another hospital where they had to do emergency surgery due to the malpractice and ignorance of the staff at Centro Médico Punta Cana. I will never go there again for any reason.

Here for a couple of days, broken leg, this is a business, and they think they are treating with animals here. no human touch. it has its ups and down, somethings are good but somethings suck! my phone was disconected, ane i had to SCREAMMM LIKE I WAS DYING, for someone to go to my room anr help me when i needed something. it wqs a very painfull injury, and they said that i was just over reacting. my bone was sticking out of the skin, and it hurt like shiiisshhhhh!!! i had to wait for 4 days for them to get the bolts to operate my leg. it was a nightmare, i hate hospitals, and i hope i dont have to come back to visit one in my life!!! still waiting for the bolts to arrive, and is like everything that could go wrong goes wrong dont get sick, be safe, dont go to the hospital!

Took my friend in because she is allergic to mosquitos and had a fever and was throwing up. They attended her pretty quick and put her on an IV because she was dehydrated.
Staff is good, they checked up on her and gave us a blanket since it is cold in there.
Ratings on cleanliness: a 3 deffinitley not OSHA approved. We were taken to another room and the bed sheet was still dirty, there was a bottle in there that had blood drips from a previous patient, and the nurses don't use gloves to get your blood test (she did use hand sanitizer, but still that's not okay)
The bathroom is a little dirty. No one had cleaned it for at least the last 3 hrs. (I know this because I checked the log. Hadn't been cleaned since 5pm and it was almost 9pm)
They ended up charging my friend $840 for an IV and one blood test and a 5 Hr stay in a room that wasn't even cleaned.
Seems a lot to me since I've been to different hospital in other countries (Thailand, China, Italy, Switzerland, and Mexico) and I've never had to pay over $300 (& better service and cleanliness) I feel they do rip you off. Luckily her insurance will refund everything back.

If you have to go this is the only option but I would just visit a small clinic.

I left my contact lenses at home in the United States and was charged $350.00 for a one minute ophthalmology appointment just so that I could tell the ophthalmologist my prescription in order to dispense a new pair then another $175.00 for a pair of DISPOSABLE lenses. Most corrupt experience ever!! We were also told that they could not give us a receipt at the time we left. We were "promised" one via email. Have yet to receive a receipt! Do not go here!

Never go there!! They just want to rip you off!! As soon as they hear you have an international insurance, all they want is your money. You dont even see the doctor, you have to pay 250$ for the start! This is disgusting, shame on that b**ch at the "insurance desk", they dont even care about your health, but your credit card!!

I got food poisening and ended up with some tears down my throught. I lost quite a bit of blood and had to get 4 ltrs. Once arriving by ambulance I was in shock and was very cold. They left me in hallway and would not do ANYTHING to treat me until they received a $1500 deposit. The whole 4 days I was there the service was deplorable. The only time I would see anyone other than a nurse was when they were in negotiating the price. 4 to 8 hours to get a juice or water. I finally watched where they went to get the juice and ice so I just started to get my own. I asked for a pillow and blanket over 50 times, i finally received one on my last night there because I used my cell phone and called hopital manager and asked. I had to use the restroom quite a bit with food poisening, they said they would not help me anymore and brought in a depends to use. We had agreed on $4000 total for the 4 days but when I went to check out they said NEW CHARGES $7400. I said I could not get that right away and she said no problem, i will call the cops. After they were paid in full DR RAMOS called my step dad in the us and said that there would be more fees later. DR RAMOS said that they would cancel out what we had paid them if my Dad would just wire him $4500 to his personal account. DR RAMOS could speak fluent Spanish and English but when my US Dr called him he kept saying no English. They are a bunch of crooks and liars with horrible service. There was dried blood on my IC bed that I had to get gloves on and clean. Avoid this private clinic at all cost.

This hospital would be out of service in a day if it was in USA.

    AVOID AVOID AVOID

Terrible service. We were there on vacation. My mother got infected with parasites. They treated her like an animal and then charged us over $1000 dollars. They never once checked on her. Her IV bled out 3 times and she would call a nurse or doctor and they wouldn't come to assist her. Weak and dizzy she would have to run out to the halls , dripping with blood from her IV, for assistance. It's clear they don't value humans, only want to take advantage of tourists. They nickle and dime you they charged us for every plastic glove they used.

Excellent facility, knowledgeable doctor and staff and most importantly they treat patients as humans. Thank you Doctor, nurses and staff!
