This tour has been the most informative and interesting tour I've taken. We met with Hendricks who was great and knew everything about the history of the company. Definitely worth it!

Amazing factory!! Very interesting place to learn about history, evolution and rum process.

The price for the tour is not expensive. However it worth it. The guides awesome. You can get a rum tasting there and buy their products with low prices than supermarket or liquor stores.

Went and return in public guagua, route San Pedro - Quisqueya (40 pesos). Still staff will advise you against it.
The place is nice, the factory interesting, and the tasting generous. We learnt about the production of their products. However the tour could use more historical info on the influence of Ron and cane in the DR history rather than just showing random "taino" and marine collectors pieces which are really disconnected from the intention of the visit.

Get to know how your (my) favorite and best Dominican rum is made. Great tour in english. The guide is knowledgeable and the whole experience doesn't feel sullied by too much marketing. There's a tasting at the end and a shop with the BEST prices you will find for Barcelo Rum in the DR.
