Beautiful view of the sea. Right on the beach. Nice, friendly service. Only drawback is the number of people selling all kinds of stuff.

This spot used to be a five star for me. Food and service are excellent, and security is above par. The beach is absolutely beautiful where you feel as if your are in a gigantic turquoise pool. Definitely a place to see. However, the boats that offer the tube rides are the reason for my low score. They do NOT obey their travel lanes and make you feel as if you have to constantly watch out for them instead of them watching out for you when returning or leaving. Furthermore, the strong fumes from their motors completely ruin an otherwise pleasant experience.

Always a great place to kick back and relax. The food is great service is good and the place is clean. Prices are a bit high. Chargers are conveniently places close to tables. They have Parking which is another plus.

Again -- this place is awful. I tried to give it a second chance, but it was even worse. Honestly, the wait staff just have no education and treat you very badly. I also got sick from eating the food.

I had a terrible encounter with Noel, a waiter there, asking me where I'm from etc, as if it matters. I've been coming here for the past 6 years and every time this place gets worse.

You're better off at a place like Boca Marina or another place that treats you with dignity and respect.

They only care about you giving them a tip, if you're white, or a person that will sponsor one of the waiters to secure a Visa to Europe or USA.

I tried to speak to a manager and even called but was hung up on.

    Bottom line:
    ignorant/ un educated people
    awful service
    bad food
    money hungry
    just not worth it

    AGAIN -- avoid this place.

Great place. Good ambiance and great food. Our waiter was by far the worst we've ever come across. Took 2hrs to get our food and he still had the nerve to catch an attitude. Avoid Johan.

Good location. It has tables in the beach so you can alternate restaurant-beach time. Food is good as well.

Delta is service time and people selling stuff in the beach always go to tables there.

Recommended to sit inside and for romantic dates.

Very nice restaurant on the beach in Boca Chica. Request Yohan as your server. He speaks English and is very nice. Only drawback is that locals may try to sell you things while you are seated at the table. But you may find something of value so I won't knock the restaurant for that. The guys tga t come to play music for you are great give them 100 pesos.

We went to Bocana today as a group of 9, including a pregnant woman and two small kids. We ordered food, which arrived 90 minutes - yes 90 minutes - later. The rice was completely freezing cold, as was the pasta. Everything was inedible. Only half of the dishes we ordered were served. We had ordered fish with rice, fish with plantains, fish and chips. They took the cold rice away and left us with just fish, and half the people at the table with no food at all. Our server was called Pamela.

The rice reappeared 20 minutes later, and was freezing cold again. Very dangerous for pregnant women and kids to eat undercooked food. I complained and complained and asked for the manager. Various people I spoke to just kept referring me back to supervisor Angelina who was extremely rude and arrogant. I said the meal had been completely ruined and I was not prepared to pay for the food. She agreed that the service had been terrible, and yes the rice had been cold, but she said we had to pay and that was that. She said that if you order fish with rice, the rice is a free extra and it doesn't matter if it isn't served. Eventually her tone became extremely menacing and I was basically marched to the cashier and forced to pay, with an armed security guard standing next to me.

Truly awful service, truly awful food but I could not believe the was I was basically threatened and told that I had to pay. Strongly recommend that you avoid this place.

It's above average for the surrounding. Nothing fancy but good enough. Water is unbelievable warm and shallow, ideal for kids. You can have a parking spot, table, chairs and beach chair for free, you just have to pay for what you order. Friendly staff and good food. Beer is always cold. You can pay with credit card so there is no need to carry a lot of money, always zero out gratuity and leave some cash to the waiter, there is charge by-law of 10% for gratuity in your check, so tips are already covered, but you can leave about 5% in cash. The only problem is the constant flow of people trying to sale something to you, of course, they are just working, the good part is that they don't insist when you say no. Look for Joselo, he was our waiter for two days and he always have good recommendations for food.

Very nice place to spend the day, food is good and the beach is right there waiting for you.

On sundays it get very crowded after 1pm, so arrive early and pick a spot.

The only bad thing is that you cannot avoid the local (and anoying) people selling tons of things around you because the beach is a public place and they are allowed to do it.
