  First 3 semesters for my fiancee were amazing, Portsmouth was a great place to be and study. As of the "cruise ship", more or less a seagoing ferry, it has been an utter nightmare. Staff are avoiding phone calls, no one is living up to their titles, it has turned into an utter joke of a university. I will say they did a terrific job at getting the students off the island, but much past that they have failed at every injunction. We are severely let down with the experience since Maria and will NEVER recommend this school, even after my fiancee becomes a doctor, we will NEVER recommend this school. EVER. Ross has decimated their reputation since moving 1000+ students onto a f@#$ing ferry, that they have poorly turned into a study vessel. Truth be told I believe there are illegal actions going on and this entire venture needs to be investigated. Don't even get me started about the move to Tennessee, what a joke that has become as well. Shame on you Ross and shame on your faculty for not speaking up. Your entire company has become a stain on the reputation of Caribbean medical schools.

  Hi, I am not a student nor staff member of Ross university in Dominica, but as a parents of Ross students. Over the past few days of terrifying storm Maria I fine myself constantly on the phone and on Facebook to check the status of my daughter who is attending Ross university as a medical student. The few days wait to get information of her wellbeing and the status of her checked in at school after the storm was the longest few days in my life.
  I truly understand the situation that Ross university had in their handstand the time and the difficulty of not having network communication, I know all of ross staff are also affect by this storm, still they manage to do the almost impossible task to make sure all the students and staff are safe and accounted for. Very phone operator I spoke with were kind and professional. I feel that they share what they know and nothing more. Amidst of this crisis Ross have managed to evacuate every one to safely, I am glad my daughter chooses Ross.
  I want to say more great thing about this school but for now I want to empathize that they do take safety seriously and my kids/ your kids will be in good hand.
  My sincere gratitude and a million thanks to those that works tirelessly at Ross and the entire Ross organization for bringing my daughter home safely.

  Terrible experience. All they want is money. When a student is struggling to pass Step One they turn their cheek. Students get sent to Miami for AICM and pretty much let off to their own. Zero support for students. And once a student is unable to pass Step One, they are kicked aside. Left with medical school loan payments and a non-MD paying job. You do the math. How can it be fair.
  
  In the US they make it out to be a great place. Don't be fooled: It's a 3rd world country. And a second or third rate education.

  My visit on 7/20/2017

  The first thing he asked me when I sat down was what can I do for you today?
  He had not looking over my records had not prepared for my visit.
  So I told him my history and it's been a rough past couple years so it took about 10 minutes for me to tell him everything.
  
  Things got weird when I asked him about what he thought of a certain drug that's on the market his response,
  "So you come in here and tell me this long interpretation of what's going on with you when before you got here you knew what you were looking for!"
  I was thrown back I couldn't believe how mean he was I came to him for help I was in a bad place and all I got was a rough shoulder and in the medical field he's in dealing with patients during a fragile time being rude to somebody because of their past history and because they ask you what you can help them with, was totally UNPROFESSIONAL
  This school is popular because ANYONE WHO with a 12th grade / High School deploma is accepted.
  On this site is a quote from a man who got his degree here he says '" After all the no's from other universities Ross said yes to my application for studentship, I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY POST THAT ON THEIR WEBSITE . They u advertise that when other schools don't accept you come to Ross. This is bottom of the barrel.
