This is more like a hostel, the bed is too low, too small, cover sheet is too small, no fridge, no safe lock, no microwave, room is cold, no irons. But it locates a few minutes from the central train station, it has a beautiful pool or bowling alley, its around a lot stuff and its free breakfast. I love the hotel but the room very sucks. So its a no for me next time

Located in the centre near the central station. An old building with rooms not very well designed. No air conditioning in the room. Becomes very noisy if you open the window.

Great service. Basic rooms, clean and the pool and gym were fantastic. Breakfast is nice and traditional.

Store og luftige rom, litt slitt parkett på gulvene, og ellers litt slitt, men det er så super-nice at man har tilgang til et fantastisk svømmeanlegg at det overskygger det negative. Frokosten er enkel, men god og serveres i et restaurantlokale utenfor hotellbygget, rett over tunet.

We booked our stay at DGI-byens hotel a couple of days before arrival. The factor that made us choose DGI-byens is that it was one of few wich had a pool, everything looked really great on the Pictures - looked like a high class hotel in centre of Copenhagen. For one night stay we payed about 3000sek
The location of the hotel is actually really bad, the railwaystation is right next to it witch means a lot of noise from trains, we expected some restaurants close nearby but for some reason this piece of central copenhagen is only backyard.
The room was sadly a real dissapointment too, it smelled strongly of perfume, obviously to hide a funky smell from the bathroom. There seemed to be no ventilation in the room so we had to have the balchony door open (remember the train traffic right outside) as much as possible to get some fresh air in the room and get rid of the perfume + funky smell. Further the bathroom was not properly cleaned, the shower area grouts were misscoloured and could "easily" be properly cleaned. Chairs in the room had a cloth seat witch seemed to have never been cleaned from spilling of earlier guests. Wooden floor in the room was really worn + nothing hanging on the walls. Beds were alright tough.
At the night of our stay there was a electro music festival right next door, the base was madly high from time to time witch made the whole building litteraly shake, sadly the hotel didnt inform about the festival at all - it came as a suprise Reading a poster in the elevator - Music was played at same high volume til about 1:30 am.
Breakfast was good

God beliggenhed.
Sengen var knapt så god - gik konstant fra hinanden på midten.
3 overnatninger med et TV som frøs konstant. Ikke helt rigtigt - vi valgte at tjekke ud sent om aftenen inden den 3. overnatning.
Gratis svømning og Bowling er et stort plus.
Minder mere om et vandrehjem eller en Efterskole. Ingen hotel-stemning.
Ingen klager, men ikke et sted vi vil vælge igen.

Room cleaning was remarkably good. Rooms have bare minimum amenities. No minibar/fridge. Coffee/tea (set) has to be purchased from the reception. No airconditioning, just a table fan. Windows can be opened. Swimming and other opportunities either free or with discount for hotel quests (depending on the service). Breakfast is bread slices with smoked salmon, pork or turkey and yogurt and fruits (which usually run out before breakfast is over) - personally found this breakfast style much more satisfactory than the standard found everywhere else. Location was both convenient (close to center) as well as inconvenient as there were noisy summer festivities near the hotel. Surprisingly, rail traffic was hardly audiable. Would choose again.
