Professional but busy with small mistakes. Most it was ok.
I was not amused that with the first child the "Hebamme" speaks not so good german (she was Italien) and in stress moments we had to find out what she wants to say (i tried to translate to my german wife). THAT made me nervous during the labor "Wehen".
Most i was not amused. The they forgot to take the "Stammzellen" blood or thought about it to late. For the Service it was not enough blood and we couldn´t store them now.
On station it was very busy and we had only a quick introduction of breastfeading and swaddle. So we came from the "Kreißsaal" and was on our own. My wife was laying in bed when the nurse showed me quick everything. So in the beginning everything was to much for us and it doesn´t worked well. The Nurses are friendly but one very loud. The baby started sleeping and she came in asking very loud. Late as we ask another were very helpful and showed us everything slower again an took time for us. ASK FOR EVERYTHING YOU WANT they are busy but you can ask and they will help.
We were happy to be at home after 3 days and our daughter were more relaxed.
Truly a terrible place. Spent a week there after an operation. Not only was the surgeon really bad (the surgery turned out not to work and I got a second one), the staff was very unfriendly and rude, the other doctors wouldn't tell me a thing (I had to chase them and almost interrogate them to know what was going on with me), I had complications that came from negligence (that again I had to force them to talk to me about), etc etc. On top of that, the food is atrocious. Two slices of bread for dinner every day. Avoid that place at all costs.
Mismanaged or underfinanced emergency room. There was a single doctor available for the entire emergency room, naturally completely overworked. This lead to having no attention for the patient's needs and very dangerous situations in terms of hygiene. I am sure people do their best, but I was left feeling very unsafe while in their "care".
Have been in this hospital for a prenatal emergency check up. The staff was very friendly, calm and competent! Without any waiting time I was taken care of, felt in good hands and all staff was very helpful. It was clean and highly efficient. Of course I can only rate the labour ward but from my experience I can definitely recommend this place!
Very friendly and competent ER as opposed to Charite. I highly recommend.
PROS: The staff is was efficient. I was checked in and treated for an allergic reaction right away. The staff was gentle and kind. I was given medication to treat the reaction. You don't have to fill out any forms. The staff asks the right questions and treats you accordingly.
CONS: I would have appreciated more communication from the staff so I understand what is going on. Also, The wait time to see the doctor for a final diagnosis is quite long; After 5.5 hours, I asked the nurse if I could just leave. She asked the doctor, and he came by with a form for me to sign because I wanted to leave early. He said it would take 24 hours to see a dermatologist there, but I could also schedule an appointment with another dermatologist outside of the hospital if that would be easier, which is what I opted for.
Overall, good experience. I feel much better and that is what ultimately counts.
