The personnel in the bar are excellent. The lead bartender - cannot remember his name (maybe Hemet) - made sure that I got Table #1 for dinner with my wife's cousin, whom I had not seen in 45 years.

There are two things that I did not particularly like, but I know they are a fact of life for the hotel. One that the hotel hosts numerous meetings, conferences, and seminars, and this definitely clogs up the breakfast room in the morning, because most of the participants need to eat at about the same time to get to the meeting at a certain time. I realize that the hotel's central location and rooms are excellent for this business. It just was an inconvenience for me as a solo traveler.

The other thing is the garage. When I arrived, it was chaos there, as three other cars were also trying to find spaces, when all the empty ones were marked RESERVED! One receptionist was very helpful. She came down to the garage with me and allocated one spot that became un-reserved to me. However, getting in and out of the garage is a nerve-racking experience! Maybe some of the above ground parking spots could also be set aside for RESERVATIONS.

If I were to ever return to Eisenach, I definitely would stay at the Steigenberger Hotel Thüringer Hof again.

Great rooms and majestic hall, reception. just some small points that didn't make the stay as enjoyable as it could've been. E.G.- empty shower gel bottle.

Check-in was 1.5 hours late, completely unacceptable.
It's a real shame since many other things are good, but a hotel is about service and such tardiness isn't such.

I stay very often in this Hotel, until now I have been really satisfied (Service, room, etc.). It's in Zentrum from Eisenach which is quite practical.

Nice enough room, reasonable shower pressure etc. Prices OK for this sort of place. Wasn't grabbed by the range of food/drink available though at those prices.

The hotel was easy to find from the train station. The desk attendants at reception were very friendly and willing to help with anything (letting us leave our bags in their office because we got there early, printing out concert tickets, etc.) The room itself was quite comfortable with an extraordinary bathroom (deep bathtub!) The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, but definitely worth it with all the options and good food and service. A great place to stay when visiting Eisenach!
