  Variety of cheese, fresh milk, yogurt and butter. Nice restaurant for a snack, especially if you like cheese. Watch how the cheese is made. Taste the Ettaler bier and Apfelshorle.

  Schade daß das Personal so stinkunfreundlich und unmotiviert ist. Wir wollten hier eigentlich verschiedene Sorten Käse kaufen, der zugegebenermaßen echt teuer ist, und fragten, ob es möglich ist für eine geplante Brotzeit etwas Käse in Würfel zu schneiden. Antwort: "Das mache ich nicht" Ich hielt das zunächst für einen Scherz und fragte nochmal nach. Antwort: "NEIN, das mache ich nicht" So blieb es beim Kauf von einem Stück Käse, den sie uns mit dem Messer grob in vier Stücke hackte, bezahlt habe ich für diese großartige Arbeit fast 10 Euro. Die Prozedur des Würfelns hättw wahrscheinlich 15 Sekunden Mehrarbeit bedeutet.
  Ich muß dazu sagen, daß der Verkaufsraum zu diesem Zeitpunkt leer war, niemand stand hinter uns und hätte warten müssen, es waren zudem zwei weitere Damen hinter der Theke, die hätte bedienen können. Ich empfand diese "Kundenfreundlich" als eine echte Frechheit. So bin ich noch nie in einer der vielen bayerischen, durchweg überteuerten Käsereien behandelt worden. Positiv anzumerken sei hier die Schönegger Käsealm, teuer aber freundlich und gut.
  Getröstet hat mich dann ein leckeres Dunkles aus dem Kloster Ettal.

  Bei jeden Urlaub kommen wir nicht dran vorbei. Echt lecker und nach einer Verkostung und fachkundiger Beratung war unser Einkaufsbeutel wieder voll. Weiter so.

  For cheese lovers only. Restaurant has a small menu consisting of the cheese soup, selection of cheeses, sausages, Ettal beer, yogurts and cakes. We had a cheese plate, cheese soup, cakes and beer, and everything was delicious. We will be back when in the area.

  The cheese tasting was nice. Great flavor! I watched through the windows in the shop and then asked about a tour. No tour for me (German only today), but the nice ladies put in a video (in English) for me to see the process for making their products. Fresh milk, butter, yogurt and cheese along with cheesecakes were for sale. The shop also had other nice food items for sale (honey, apple juice, cider vinegar, mustards, marmalade, etc) A pleasant experience.
