Well cared, small standard aquarium. Good for kids. Unfortunately only in German and no translations whatsoever. Rather expensive it you don't have a K3 combi ticket.

It is pretty interesting place to see fishes. You can touch some of them, see lots of different populations. A bit smaller then I expected but still worth to go.

Too expensive and very small for the price they charge! Tried to book a birthday party there and everything went wrong. We ask for a treasure hunt and end up with zero because there was a misunderstanding when booking and at the time there was no one available. Never again

A great excursion for the family. Lots to see and touch as well. Places to eat nearby. Plenty of parking to be found as well. Not a big aquarium but still a big part of your adventures in town.

Firstly, as most people mention. The parking could be difficult. There is may be up to 60 spaces available. That said, if you come during peak times, you get what you deserve. We came early, and there were 47 spaces free.

Some people mention that there isn't enough to see. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes from parking to leaving (according to the ticket machine). That was enough time for our kids to really take everything in. More may even have been too much. As long as you do not push your children through too fast (and don't let them push you too fast!) you will have a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I found the experience extremely enjoyable. We were enraptured by the octopus, who felt like putting on a show. I would definitely recommend looking out for its tank! It isn't a big one!

We booked online so it cost €10 which was fine but was offset by the cost of getting to town by train from Cologne which was €14 return making the trip €24 each in total. If you do not by tickets online the price will be more. Inside it is smaller than they make out & many of the tanks appeared to be empty or had signs up that the fish were moving tanks. Staff were friendly but as we had travelled 45 minutes from Cologne it was not a worthwhile experience. Would recommend for anyone staying in Cologne to go to the aquarium at the zoo there instead as entrance into it is included in the price for entrance to the zoo itself (€17.50 for adult and €12 for student) and far easier to get to.
